Didn't I read that Manhasset was moving down to C due to enrollment? Not that that brings them back to same conf as CSH in D.

Guy, let it go, you are speaking out of your azz and do not know what you are talking about. Yes, old and new coach get along and yes, DB and KC are friendly and we in CSH wish KC the best of luck and like him. It's not a matter of either of the coaches from 'Set "letting it happen". I'm sure rivalry will ensue again in '18. These teams for three decades played three times a year being in the same division with the third time usually deciding the County champion... One year show of coaching solidarity and some form of protest vs Manhasset admin for coaches firing. Keep in mind who last Manhasset AD was and where he came from as well.

What am I missing in this discussion? KC was @ LV last year . . .
What you are missing is the ultimate in douchebaggery - CSH coach is crapping over the CSH & MHS kids by backing out of long standing rivalry game under the guise of feelings being hurt on how old MHS coach was let go. It may be spun with words like solidarity and protest, but in the end its the kids who lose.

Don't get it, not like they are border towns. One is Nassua the other a little bit of both Nassua and Suffolk. Still never get the ole 1 town 2 counties.

What's to get. The school is physically in Suffolk. 50 years ago it moved to nassau sports. The reson was that to play similar sized schools, they would be on a bus for 60 minutes. While if they played in Nassau they could go to OB, LV, Carle Place, SET, N Shore etc. Get it?

Doesn't matter anymore in high school. The purpose now is to get kids recruited and even the number 30 team will have potential D1 recruits. If you are sitting the bench on the number 2 team, you can't be seen. If you are a starter on the number 20 team, you have a better chance of being recruited. Playing AA is the key now - not a cameo appearance on a top ten team.

If your kid commits at this age do you continue to let him play travel ball? Assuming he gets the college he wanted?

"Let him"? I think anyone who doesn't let their kid play is out of their mind. Presumably their kids are playing because they like to play and its an activity they enjoy. They are only kids once...

Yes still play unless rehabbing a nagging football injury or a major test that Monday. You still need to be challenged these boys are your friends you like the game and you like to play with friends. But if it is a recruiting tournament and the next man up isnt recruited yet you stay home and give him a shot at it.

not a one size fits all answer.

Clearly some pathetic frustrated Dad here because at this age team success means not much. It is about getting the kids ALL recruited

Keep playing, when you get on campus in fall of freshman year you better be ready. Every kids real good, and the conditioning/weigh training they do is ridiculous. Depth charts are made real quick at d 1. I have a Freshman at a top 15 D 1 school. He is loving it , but its 2 full time jobs. Better be prepared physically and mentally

Tryouts for "good clubs" are over. They happen at the end of summer. Good luck at this point.

You are an idiot. We all know that Madlax 2020 is still not close to competing at the NLF level. Adding holdbacks from an eh program such as Episcopal is not going to improve your program.

I'm glad you're ready. If your recent scrimmage with Next Level where you lost 12-3 is any indication, you'll be in for another fantastic year of lacrosse!!!

Seriously though -- less posting on this forum, more wall ball and skill development. Please.

You GED LI dads are so predictable. All you do is cry about reclassed kids.

We are restocked with new kids and are building chemistry. Can't wait to see your apologies after we play you.

Not sure there is a "The" event. Good yes, but not be all end all. You will however see a lot of talent and politics and holdbacks.

That said enjoy the day (or weekend) some good lacrosse. Not sure with the climate of early recruiting if many top players will be in attendance.

If you look at the list of attendees for Philly Freshman you will see players from NLF teams which would seem to suggest that at least some NLF kids think PFS is better.
