Battle on the bay: Express Igloo A &B Dukes National (API) Greyhounds Madlax Next level Sweetlax TX Mustangs Leading Edge Team X
Coopers and Hawks in it too. Great talent of teams for a Early Fall tournament. Should be a lot of fun. Not too sure who will be representing Dukes since Express and Igloo kids can't since they'll be with their clubs. Heard that most API kids are with a football team that I know won't let them play in a lax tourney. Can't see how they can be competitive but will be interesting Since you know so much why don't you just ask them and come back on here and let everyone know.

Maybe, but the MD boys drove themselves to the games. Why can't they play boys that are born the same year they are. What are you proving by playing younger? Can't hang with your own age group?? Hmmm..

Really? Express lost 2 games both by 2 goals I would say that's hardly a loss to be running from with there tails between there legs.

Hmmm.. Why don't the New [lacrosse] teams stop playing in graduation year tourneys? This excuse is tired. MD schools have a different birth year cut off. Only a few clubs have more than 2 or three true "holdbacks".

Hawks picked up more cannons kids. They are the team to beat in Maryland. Everyone else it's wide open for second place. Fca has added a lot of holdbacks they could make some noise this year.

Hahaha. Here come the FLIDs onto the MD forum to come up with excuses. No excuse coming from LI. If USL had some teeth and held clubs accountable with age verifications the playing fields would be level. It worked with the WSYL when 91 Crush played the age appropriate Crabs....

You are joking right? Do you remember what the age cut off was for that year. Both teams were heavy with holdbacks. both those teams had true holdbacks .. why do you think they changed it?

Let's create a tournament 2500 miles away from the hotbeds that uses different age rules than the teams are based upon. That's a successful formula.

It used to be the [lacrosse]'s Tournament in FL that was the biggest waste of money and time. Now it's this WSoYL.
Worthless.

And let's be upfront and fess up, how many holdbacks does Hawks 2022 have this year, how many did they pick up this year. Ok now we wait for it: No No Hawks 2022 doesn't have any holdbacks this year, they have never had any. Just more BS from the Hawks dads and daddy coaches.

Most of the country uses 9/1 as the school cutoff as we do here in Maryland. That means any kid born in Sept, Oct, Nov & Dec of 2003 would rightly be 2022 -- 1/3 of the kids assuming even spread of births through the months. Feel free to complain about the kids born before 9/1/03. However you do realize Long Island brought grade based segmentation into lacrosse?

Majority of 2022s should be born in 2004 Small minority very late 2003 (November/December) Maryland public cutoff is Sept. 1. Averages say that 1/3 of on age kids for class of 2022 are born Sept. 1 - Dec. 31, 2003. These are not hold backs, these are age appropriate 7th graders who did not have the option to start school earlier according to the rules in MD.

So other state dads lets be honest you had to know this is what you had to deal with if you went to Grade based teams at the youth level. Maryland children have been starting late for at least 20 years if not more.

Ask your coach to get a roster next time you play a team you are concerned about. 14 year olds? Do you really need to make stuff up to comfort yourself after a loss in a youth tournament? All coaches have access to rosters so you get that and come on here and tell us how many 14 year olds are on MD teams.

Yes there are some 13 yr olds. My son is 13 as of September, but he's in the grade he should be in. There are some kids on the teams that were born prior to 9/1 in the summer or late spring, but they are still 13. Not sure where you are coming up with 14 yr olds.

ok just want to confirm ,so your happy to play against 11 and 12 year olds?? 2/3 of kids on Maryland 2022 kids are in the same boat as your snowflakes. You never hear these kids complain. I suggest the LI teams stay on the Island in your safe space.

That's a good call. Every field should have a designated "safe space" marked off where LI dads can send their kids and nobody else can enter.

Which is A team for bethesda; Orange or blue? It depends on the day. Bethesda constantly switches kids between age groups and colors depending on which W is more important that particular day.

No don't need rosters thanks for your honesty Don't need them because you know you won't find any 14 year olds and would rather have a lie to tell yourself as an excuse? Or do you think you can tell how old a kid is just by looking at him?

ok just want to confirm ,so your happy to play against 11 and 12 year olds?? Just want to confirm there is no 2003 kids on any team in the State of New [lacrosse] or any other state besides Maryland. This excuse coming from a cry baby dad is so comical. Last year we saw some of your rosters because roster checks were being done. Every single team had a few which is perfectly ok in all the rule books for any league and tournament. 3 of those teams were Express, Igloo and 88+2.

so Maryland dads please be honest most of your 2022 teams especially the hawks have multiple 13 year olds and probably some 14 year olds? Why do you specifically name the Hawks. Pretty sad coming on here striking at a very good team that plays well within the RULES that your team does. Roster checks can be made and have been. So do your homework before spewing crap out the side of your mouth. Sounds like you are expecting a beat down and trying to make excuses before your KIDS team even plays.
