Did you really say that? They were the best team last year but to say that nobody can hang with them when they won by 1 or 2 goals most times is just crazy.

You people should go watch a top 20 d3 team play a game. You might be surprised at how good these teams are. Not only that, the players on these teams are putting in 3.5 hours a day in practice and the weight room. I have seen many d3 teams beat d1 many times in fall or early spring formats.

You won't be talking that trash in a few weeks when you come to MD,. At age team? All teams play by the same rules. Express is no different. Express at at least 2 kids last year that could play up . Just like every other team in the country that is playing by the same rules laid out.

And the D3 refs let the kids knock the snot out of each other. The safety first reffing at D1 has yet to trickle down.

Express will come to your house to play, most MD teams won't go to the island for the challenge.

Partly because the D1 kids are a lot of spoiled prima donnas , being handed more oppurtinities due to money that don't like to be hit. It was a physical contact sport once. I'm sure the same ncaa refs will call a head penalty in D3 also.

They are all top teams. The Express can win this weekend or not even make it to the final, that a how much parity exists between the top 3 on the island and the MD teams, Hawks, Diamondbacks, and probably 9.. MD. That was 6 of the elite 8 last summer. No super team, they are all super!

How about the express dad that gets to the game a hour early to block off the middle part of the field to tape his precious, and has a conniption every time his kid flops and doesn't get an immediate flag??

Did not Express earn that they are at a higher level than the rest who are at parity with each other until proven else.

This has to be a MD daddy. They get so frustrated that the little FOGO kicks all of their holdback/reclassified kid's [lacrosse] every time.. that's when the kids get frustrated and dirty and start taking cheap shots. Cheaters never prosper.

MD teams play in 2 of the best spring leagues in the country, so they are challenged twice every weekend and home in time to enjoy life outside of 7th grade lacrosse.

Stop making excuses. You people never come to LI.

Cheaters? Really so there is not a single holdback or pre whatever on the Express team? Or any Long Island teams? Classic sore loser comments from a dad that brings another families kid (Fogo)into his rant on an anonymous site . That player happens to probably be the best at his position in the entire country and everyone loves to watch play.Without him that team would be nothing. Be grateful .. Leave him off this site and out your argument to call an entire state of teams cheaters . Teams that follow ALL GUIDLINES and rules laid out for them for regular season and any tournament all year. Regular season that is more difficult than anything Express does all year. Express does travel well because they don't get challenge ALL YEAR LONG.

Why would they come any more than that? Most teams at this age group play in the 2 hardest leagues in the nation. That is not even up for debate. Which is exactly why LI clubs and coaches come down to MD to challenge their teams.

I agree. It's a great way for LI teams to play up against kids 1-2 years older in the same grade bracket. MD and PA team play down, a always have, always will. When teams need to prove age MD and PA almost always lose to their LI age appropriate peers.

Gotta admit though there are some lunatics out there that earn a name. On your own team and opposing teams.

In my opinion, it's so sad that the directors of smuntied took two legit A teams and broke them up for a zero sum gain. Such a rare thing they had.

Very true. I'm sure you'll hear the excuses of today's performance. Kids had football , only fall ball , goalie kept them in the game , sun was in their eyes , yada yada yada.
