The backup goalie and 3rd Midfield line may not get any play, but that is what you sign up for when you play travel lax.

The only way you last sentence could be acceptable is if there were more transparency to the try-out/ roster-building process. As it is parents are asked to write a check and take their chances as to where their kid falls.

If the kid is not able to make one of the top 2 mid-lines then they should be able to get all/some money back rather than waste an entire year on a team in which they cannot possibly develop as players.

Loyalty? This is a business to teach your kids lacrosse and put the best team out there. fl$ changes its roster year to year 80% and Igloo changes coaches every year. This isn't about loyalty. You want loyalty, get a dog

If your child is on the last line that doesn't mean they are last line for the whole season. At means they are practicing with better players, which will make him a better player and make him WANT to move up to the first line. The season isn't set. Lines change. You need that many players. It's better to be on a team with more talented kids to challenge your son than being the best player on the team. Always pros and cons. This link seems to have all the glass 1/2 empty people.

Good points but it also depends on the age. If your son is trying to get noticed or seen by college coaches, and he's the 7th-9th middie on a team that mostly runs 6 middies, he's better off on a lesser team, where he gets more playing time, and has a better chance of standing out. It's hard for most people to find the perfect fit, so we just have to do the best we can, be proactive with the college coaches, and hope for the best!

College coaches need to put a lid on the hold-back situation that is running rampant through our sport. It is becoming an epidemic! Is this what we want to teach our kids? That this holding back for sports is OK? If you want to make it in this world you need to cheat the system so to get a head-start. And How about all the kids that are the right age? What about them? Other sports have age requirements for club sports. It works.

College coaches job is not to worry about a kids age or what is fair, it is to win lacrosse games and you are crazy if you think it is about anything else. Very much like a defense attorney's job is not to see that justice is served but to win for his client guilty or not. That is why the NCAA exists, to legislate those that can not legislate themselves.

That's what you get with a no cut team. Lopsided positions. Some attack will be moved to middy and it will even out. There is a lot of truth on this thread. Parents were warned. Just have to hope some kids quit or ask to be moved to the top team. They will move kids up if the parents ask. Just hope they don't keep bringing kids in. Hope it turns out well for the kids.

Here we go, First practice already complaining. Just quit now and jump to another team so you don't poison the sideline.

You really have no clue what you are buying into as far as the numbers on the roster and how many positions are filled. Its usually to late when all said and done ! , BUT Channy will give a refund out at this early stage of the game, so if you have any doubts on your first instinct (which is usually correct) call Channy demand a refund and he will give it to you. We have had this issue and he did not even flinch when confronted.

Those saying leave now are the problem. They are willing to take whatever garbage they are handed for 3 k and not say a word. My bet is those are the parents of the kids who can't make another team and need this team that has no cuts. This guy has a valid complaint and should complain. If parents don't complain now as time goes by more kids will be added who could not make another team. Such an unstable environment. Sounds like most of the parents are also difficult. Have fun with each other.

Few years back 2021 age group had two teams to start in fall , then a 3rd team was added by spring and they pulled kids off from 2nd team to play on the 3rd. Get your money back NOW . Its a complete waste of time its a shuffle of players !! they will try to make the 2nd team better this year and will add players and delete players from this roster. its been done before and will be done again. There are players who were cut from Channy team from last season who are on this and they were reassured this team will be just as good so they would stay ... LMFAO.. You been warned.

Six middies is also trouble. Those kids won't play as much as they think. What teams do with too many defenders and attack is play four attack in the offensive zone and four poles in the defensive zone and have three lines of two middys. Either way it sounds like a mess.

Are they kidding with the BS going on at Kellenberg today? Could they fit any more kids on those fields? Half a field each....even for HS kids? Really? Channy sure maximized his return on that field rental!

It was fine, apart from needing a few more goals.

15 bucks for the refs, fields and food is completely out of line.

It was $13 and was well worth it. Chargers hosted a clinic/scrimmage followed by lunch.

If this is 2022 parent complaining about less than $20 for an ADD ON scrimmage where they provide food you are a complete a** and need to find a different team. You happen to have a coach that e wants the kids to improve, play different teams and tries to charge you the bare min so you don't complain. I believe your coach bought the food and brought it up to CT. If you are complaining about less than $20 for this you need to get out & good luck finding a better team. Your son is in 7th grade. If he was on an A team you would have multiple add on tournaments, traveling every weekend, hotels. And guess what?... Your coach will NOT bring your food and your fee will not be less than $20. Stop your baby a** complaining!

Do you have ANY clue how much fields and refs cost? Are you seriously complaining about $15??? Go back to PAL! You are in the wrong place.
