Early still but it appears the BIG loser so far will be the Gladiators with at least 4 of there best players parting ways. The Turtles will have a few new faces with some familier ones moving on. Looks like 91 orange is adding a few new players also, a d-man from the express and possibly an attackman from the Turtles. True Blue has already landed a middie from 91 and fl$ also appears to have landed a player from the Turtles. After next weeks tryouts we will know much more.

With tryouts still going on and few commits yet, how can you even guess at this? Not all your info is accurate.I know several players who did the 91 and Express tryouts on Sunday. Depending on which team they get selected for (A Level) will decide who they suit up for come 2013.

Better check the batteries in your crystal ball.

91 adding another d-man is funny, who gets cut the kid from RVC the long stick middie the kid from Merrick. You know it won't be the Hills kid who is always out of position, or the other Hills Kid who never shows for practice.

They ARE adding another defenseman.

When the dust settles 91 and fl$ will be the two big winners this offseason.

The Gladiators best middie was at Express tryouts and hes going to the Turtles, dont know about the other kids. Gladiators are a good team, theyll be ok without him.

The tryout process for these clubs is not even over how can you make such a statement.

Its North Merrick for your infomation. If you want to stir the sh.. go do it in your own backyard tryouts are not even over and invites haven't gone out so no one knows where anyone is going. Some of the players mentioned read these posts.

fl$ ??? Nice Team but can't beat any of the top Teams. I believe they lost to 91, Express Orange by a large margin and True Blue about 5 times. Probably the Galsdiators as well.

Outlaws tryouts looked good for this age.

Some express kids, a few 91's, a Gladiatior. They will be a much improved team this year.

Is it true the express "sharks" are set? Is it the same players that went to the last tournament? Word is that team is done and the tryouts are for the other 2017 teams. Anyone know?

Because they will not tell people they are on the team, kids like my son are not taking a chance ( Money Guy"s) and going to a team that the coaches really want him. My kid will not be going back to second try out. I could not be happier.

This team had Problems? Really they were put together last October and played in 9 tournaments winning 6 and losing 2 in the finals. won over 60 games while losing only 4 and tied 1

......and will also be used to actually attack young hard working kids. So many of the folks involved in all of these organizations are fantastic, as are their families. May we all have a great football season, and give the craziness a break. It is truly disturbing. "WE", as adults, should probably consider the feelings of the kids who were so shamefully described (quite specifically) as we would wish for "OUR" own. Rock on. Lead by example, rather than hiding behind anounimity (sp?)

Sour grapes? Why would you be happy? Doesn't make sense. You went to the first try out, no? I am confused.

Good to see you are keeping stats, although you only need to beat 1 team in this age group to gauge your success. B

Success is not Gauged on wins and loses, its gauged on weather you improve/get better. Did this team play better this past summer compared to the prior summer, I would think yes. Now did the "1 team"have more sucess this summer as opposed to prior summers ,I think not

A team can be successful without beating EVERY team out there. You seem surprisingly naiive for not expecting that!

....also, by hiding behind the "B", were you so proud as to have thought that you had some indisputable parting shot?

if someone is going to quote stats with wins and loses I think you open yourself up for judgement. given that if you can't beat the best team it doesn't matter how many wins you have.

It is funny? The problem? It is funny (& a problem) that you do not know how to spell horses! Let it go people, there were no problems on this team. EVERY year kids move up, down, left, right. Try to make the right decisions for your child, enjoy watching them play & hopefully, in the end, they are happy right where they belong. Stop the hating!!!!!

I agree!! Kids move around all the time, Clubs always looking for the next best player so why shouldn't mom, dad & son do the same. Just watch them play, hope they get good coaching and are having some fun no matter what club they play for.

Well said! The hating comes from the parents on these blogs. My son played on Express Orange last year and when we finally faced Team 91 in a game, there was no hate from the kids nor the parents. Everyone watched a well played game by both teams with calm sidelines. Everyone truly just respected the game and a game well played. Let's keep in mind that these are boys that love the game and have friends on both teams and are just trying to get better at a game they love. Nothing more. We should be thankful that we have some great competition here on LI.

Well said there were players on 91 who had played for the Express and players on the Express who had played for 91, and the thing was the kids couldn't care less who plays for who. They know who won and who lost but they do not care. The Parents are the only ones who are hung up on who won and lost and who is wearing what uniform

Good chat. One additional point to make, research your children's Facebook activity / friends list. My boy has members of 5 or 6 loccal organizations. He could probably "chill" with any and all of them, until outside influenced by a chippy sideline.

That is the most unreasonable statement in some time. "...if you can't beat the best team it doesn't matter how many wins you have." No need to expound on that!

Can you imagine this.... In a very talented age division as the one we speak of, meeting up once per week, or maybe monthly, with another club from the area at a local field? Kids play some live play, coaches can stop to instruct, $4 or $5 per kid for pizza, parents not permitted (because they CLAIM that they are "all about the kids", but ruin most situations). If the developement is key, who cares if the Turtles win most? They probably would, at first. I'd "high-five" 'em. Problem here is the EGO!
Nahhh- forget that! Let's go to Maryland to slaughter some Massachusettes kids. That's probably better for the sport.
