So who are the top teams? Seems like YJ Wright, Igloo, and TG. Where is everyone trying out. It will begin to get serious for the girls this year!

Unfortunately, that's not an option if you live on LI. Which teams will develop the girls best here?

So Wright is officially the A team for YJ and Thorn is the B? Do you think they will mix them up at all after tryouts this year?

The Wright parents are definitely on here chest pounding, unfortunately I don't think in this case it is the B team is so good that you can consider them an A caliber team. What you have here is the A team is so bad, they should be considered a B team. Both of these teams got lumped up badly this summer. They should just lump em all together at tryouts and make the A team from scratch. Not sure they would put a team together that can get it done down in MD, but there should be some degree of separation between the two teams within the club.

There will be shakeups in YJ 2023 the A team losing to the B team is not acceptable. The A team needs talent.

YJ & TG will get things figured out and continue as tops on LI. All others are trailing. Igloo too new to be considered top....and will be surprised if igloo even enters strong tourneys this year. New program last year that entered weak to moderate tourneys

Igloo parents are tired of losing. The talent on the team is too good to be losing to TG and YJ every single time they play. Many of the girls outside of the Northshore core are looking at other teams, and I would be surprised if Igloo is intact next year.

The Thorn team has talent. What they need is a coach who isn't Thorn.

Igloo… same origins as fl$ and Elevate … daddy coaches who think they can do it better than the rest and want to be able to control their "stud" kids' playing time and position … so they don't want to have their kids play for one of core teams and risk not being highlighted the way they want their kids to be. Problem is, getting enough talent to follow them into the fire is tough.

Elevate is full of parent coaches, just look at the director. Along with the rest of the parent coaches! Just awful.

Honestly bunch of horse dung posted. The 2 YJ 20 23 teams are close in talent, I'm other factors came into play. if the tourney wins are up Thorn won 3 Wright 0. Wright has many great kids as well and this should be the year skill gets rewarded not politics and who knows who's older sister etc. they have 30 A players 20 B ones. At 10 and 11 please be quiet as its still a year or 2 before cream rises. Some seem great because above average stick but no physical or IQ. Some great PAL size warriors who dump out as others grow fixing size is issues and proving Goto Goal is junk. Some political, those well if kept A then A is A for Arse. A 4'6 good kid becomes a 5'6 stud by 13. A 5'4 PAL ball hog becomes 5'7 dud low IQ. Amazing the lack of knowledge in so many posts.

Igloo was good, Thorn beat them 3 out of 4 but the loss was bad. Igloo has some 5'5 monsters. Will their other skills develop? I MO if already there they wouldn't have lost. Fact is there are 100 or so above average 2023 girls. Next 2 years you see who grows and if the growers have sixe, skills and IQ. At this age Size can be enough. soon, no way. You need all 3, if not 2.75. Be happy LI has a good crop. But push your girls to be their best, all you can do unless politics rules. Then you on wrong team. Good luck all.

If Thorn had talent you should be able to roll a ball out and they should be able to beat the B team easily.

Not when B team has close talent and on any given Sunday. But yes A trumps B but some years they stay close till end. Depends on how many A players and if any B / c or worse still on A, I'm not sure how that happens? Those 2 teams are razor close. Coaching, they both skilled that's why they are there. Read above post and educate yourself. YJ happens to be one franchise when B can beat A, wrong but doable at younger ages. if it continues past 6th grade, than something a foul.

Wright team plays to have fun, that's the difference. Don't underestimate those girls, they train hard and will get the job done. They ran faster, dodged better, defended fiercely, saved goals, and shot harder and more effeciently. Thorn had no answer. That's what a true team does, play together to win! Wright is the best coach for this age group, she makes every girl better, and happy to be a part of the team. Not one parent on that team would say otherwise.

I assume if picked for A in tryouts they will decline then? Anything possible as playing for a great coach who utilizes your abilities and playing with non ball hogs as well. Time will tell but really, the difference in talent is very close. that's good. Easy on bragging so hard if part of YJ family. Poor taste, poor tatse.

I am hearing that it will be the other way around. YJ girls heading TG way this year in this age group.

If you can get on M&D, Heros or Skywalkers it always will end up being the best. Maybe not this year, but by the time they get to 7th grade or so they will always be the cream of the crop. Plus, it's easiest to make it at a young age and it's always easier to stay on the team then try to make it later.

Hmmmm? These teams should be capped at 20-21 tops. Not fair to the girls. If my daughter was on the cusp, I would much rather her play on a B team with a smaller roster. It is a ridiculous money grab which hurts the girls, and coaches.

Don't be surprised with TG girls at Liberty tryouts this year with the Wantagh HS coach now involved there. Could be lots of movement at this age as it starts to get a little more competitive.

If a B team is close to an A team
This year tryouts have to be a complete overhaul
I would go as far to say try outs should be run by impartial 3rd party with no ties to any of the players - coaches or families

When are Yellow Jackets tryouts for the 2023 group. My daughter was not happy with her organization as a lot of practices were cancelled and it showed in the tournaments. She is an above average player would be a very good B player and a Mid level A player.
