Weaker programs? Crabs lost multiple players to FCA and are filling in with weaker players from other teams. FCA will be the new Maryland best.

The average age of FCA just went WAY up...

FCA is becoming a duplicate of Crabs. Loaded with holdbacks and coach Kelly is smiling all over himself. So much for the Christian nature of FCA. They are gaming the youth lacrosse system as bad as Crabs. Really disgraceful.

Looneys is just as bad loading up their roster with kids that will never play - many are older too. All three teams are a disgrace to any semblance of developing kids.

how many kids are currently on Looney's who were on the team in 5th grade? I bet Looney's has more kids from their 5th grade team than FCA or Crabs.

Considering Fca lacrosse has only been in Maryland for 4 years it's kind of tough to compare

Crabs were not the best by far given that they play 16 year olds on an 8th grade team.

Probably but they also keep adding to the roster with no intention of letting those kids play. Fca doing the same thing.

Crabs will be replacing any losses/cuts with kids whose stock is on the rise. There are some super kids out there who just need to play with better players to shine. FCA should be great but it's highly possible the team could also be gaining a reputation of having kids who saw their best days in middle school.

Seriously? Crabs will be replacing players who left that sham of an organization with older kids. How many kids on the 16 2020 team will be on the 2021 team in 2017? FCA is taking their players because FCA coaches actually played the game and the kids might actually learn something. Fat Crab's organization is dying and he knows it. FCA, Looneys, 91, Hawks, all offer better coaching and the kids aren't subject to abuse and ridicule the Crabs owner dishes out.

You realize that most of the FCA teams have tons of holdbacks, right?

We all know what FCA is doing. Kelly is giving out Calvert Hall $ to bring in players then "asking" them to play for FCA and in turn line the "FCA (Kelly)" pockets. More players have been screwed by Kelly for not playing for FCA once they get to Calvert Hall. It's all about the Kellys there.

I thought this was a looneys thread? Anyway, if you think the Kelly's care about a couple pennies from club lacrosse then your dumber than we all think. Looneys tryouts looked awesome at all levels and will put some great teams together.

Isn't FCA a lot cheaper since it is a Christian Church subsidized recruiting tool?

I have heard FCA people say they are not connected to any church.

You just putting that out there because you have an agenda? Or did you spend the spring summer scouting the teams down to 4th grade? Did you survey the players & parents to find out whether they had a positive experience? Records only tell part of the story in youth sports, unless you are a doucher....

Is this the parent whose holdback long pole tried out two years in a row for the one very good team and was cut both times? Take your bitterness back to your current club, sir.

Do you seriously believe that the Kelly's need to "line their pockets"? There is NO ONE....not even FCA Lacrosse staff members who are being paid out of FCA Lacrosse fees. So if you want to be a spoon and stir the pot make sure you have all of your facts straight first.

I love how anyone who doesn't sing the praises of a club must have a kid wh tried out unsuccessfully for said club. LOL.

I remember seeing a Looney's Mom throwing a beach umbrella after her grandson's Looney's team lost. Perfect example of a typical Looney's parent.

Only because they poach directly from other teams, make promises, loading up their rosters just to have kid sit the bench.

The kids replacing those who left Crabs are not the same caliber as the ones who moved and will find that FCA and looneys will now beat them most of the time. Most find out that the grass is not greener than where they were but can not go back. Turnout was low for crabs tryouts so slimmer pickings then the past. FCA will be the best but a lot of kids will sit on bench as now they have loaded up like Looneys does. Neither team cares about the kids - they play their 12 players over and over while the rest watch. if you have not gotten your call yet from Looneys, FCA or Crabs, you will not be a lead player as those players already accepted their roster spots. Those calls went out the first night. Now it is deciding second tier tuition payers to fund the team. Not a great spot to be in for most but some are okay with that.

They told their roster they could all stay and then took players with promises from other teams. Someone will be sitting a lot.

We're new to club lacrosse, but that seems to be SOP everywhere. If I thought my kid was not going to play I would never accept the invite.

Invite only? Not too smart. Me thinks Looney's 2020 success has gone to their head. Without the FOGO they are no better/worse than the other elite teams. Regardless, with the migration of Crabs committed Holdbacks to FCA they are going to be the team to beat. 16 year old freshman who can drive themselves to practice have a slight advantage.....

Interesting display of loyalty by those Crabs moving to FCA after they got what they wanted from Crabs.

Considering you troll the Looney's organization I'm confident you are are aware Looneys won The Philly Summer Invite in mid July? They cruised without their FOGO for any of the games. Explain that one?

They probably thought you had reached your limit of 2 beers and didn't want to serve you the third one. Thus it sat on the bar and hoping you would just leave.

Couple of facts from someone who knows. First Looney's is a fine club and run by great people. It is an excellent choice for many kids. In reference to FCA. Here are some facts. FCA is not subsidized by anyone. Kelly's do not pay anyone to play for FCA. FCA is not connected to a church. In reference to holdbacks what should an organization do? Cut a player made a personal decision (most likely long before he played for FCA or FCA MD existed) to reclass? FCA like Looneys have zero to do with these family decisions.
