They have a bunch of kids who have birthdays prior to Sept 2004. Their best Mid is a July 04 birthday. 2 of the city kids are early Sept '04. That's the only way Channy knows how to beat teams.

Is it any different than S2S ? I'm sure Bandits are doing it. That leaves the coachless Igloo

The 9/1 is the age cutoff for US Lacrosse sanctioned events. Doesn't seem like it is going to have a huge impact on 90% of organized lacrosse activities.
When you say HB is bringing in holdbacks, are they going into 6th grade? Until tournaments and clubs align on age based structure, grade based is going to rule......and all the issues that come with it. So like it or not but as long as it isn't a kid going into 7th grade, they aren't cheating

Well we won't have to worry about those teams in the WOrld Series Lacrosse Championship in 7th grade because THEY are going by September 01!!!

When they play in "U#" sanctioned tournaments; they are 100% CHEATING!!

It's amazing the guy is such an obvious AH and yet desperate parents bring their
kids to Express tryouts. Seriously, I don't get it. Why subjest your kid to playing on a 3rd line, or be the 2nd FOGO or play for the B team when your kid can play 100% of the time on an AA team at one of the other otganizations like Outlaws, Legicy, Empire.

Legacy beat Igloo. Cutoff was May 2 so Legacy brought some older kids. The World Series realized it was a gray area so they are making it legit and using September 1 this year. So Express, 91, and a few other teams will have to show up with half their teams.....and obviously not their better half!

This is a critical year for the 6th graders. Parents should be very very
Much aware that it's extremely important they land their
kids with an organizations TOP team where he will play his fair share. Winning tournaments/tee-shirts is not what this about. In a year or two,
College Coaches could care less about scores of games, what club you play for or the jersey you wear. They will sit on the sidelines and watch the
Kids who are playing on the field. Find a team with stability with coaches who
are committed to making your kids better. Those tryouts are where you should be.

Tryouts and what parents should be doing:

Ninety One - Bandits
PROS: are the best but will always look to find the one or two players who have improved so much that they are better than existing kids. They will dominate again because of JS ability to coach winning team.

CONS: He will carry a small roster so he can run with his best Kids most of the game. You know in advance what you get with this team - if your good, you'll play, if not, you'll sit. Not many open spots to steal so crazy that parents would try.

OPINION: Avoid!

Badgers -
PROS: probably the most athletic team with some depth. Fairly solid at each position. They should do well but other teams are clearly closing the gap. Alot of depth at midfield With 2 very good goalies.

CONS: team is self imploding. They had trouble this year moving to the next level of play even though they had the goods to do so. Parents control the coach's decisions which is a recipe for disaster. Alot of coaching "favors" on the team that hmders their ability to play the right kids. Still very unstable situation that sill take
Another disappointing year to fix.

OPINION:Avoid!

Igloo:
PROS: 1st team to beat the Bandits. Great accomlishment. Solid team
Made up of a bunch of hand picked Manhassett 32 players from Daddy coaches. They proved this past year that they can compete and will again this year.

CONS: turmoil with coaching. Head coach leaves after providing a solid
Season. 2nd time AA has made that change at the top which doesn't allow the team to get settled. Will they change it up every year?? I would caution going to this team this year because of the uncertaintybof too many variables.

OPINION: Go check out tryouts

Out-laws:
PROS: MB is doing a great job rebuilding this organization and team. New coach with a winning experience and record. Some good players. They will find ways to have goodntournament showings.

CONS: you nust never know what you will get with this team mostly because
Of the constant changes at the helm. Rebuilding year. Will have mostly disappointing runs at the better clubs.

OPINION: checkout tryous

Legacy:
PROS: up and coming organozation and team. Recently won world series which showed alot of naysayers that they are for real. Very solid group of core kids with some obvious holes. Consistent head coaching and new coach coming in with a winning record should provide an immediate lift to the next level. Tremendous opportunity for kids who want and should be playing in the first 10 spots.

CONS: depth at various positions. Need to show they can compete.

OPINION: Go to Tryouts

S2S
PROS: DK has done a great job with what he has to deal with. Had an impressive year with some talented North Shore kids. They will be competitive again this year.

CONS: not 100% sure of their model. Mostly local Manhassett kids so the pool isn't their to continually feed the A team. Hand picked additions. No real tryouts. Not too sure that model can sustain itself very long. Not a place
If you want exposure.

OPINION: Hand picked

The team that has spots open that nobody ever talks about is True Blue. The coaches of this team are the varsity coach of Massapequa because his son is on the team, and the coach of Adelphi.
Seems to me that this would be the team to try out for.

Agree JC is a good guy

Team has been up and down over the years primarily because of JC and his inability to put a winning team together. They had good kids at one time and were pushing hard to be the best but they all left because of the uncertainty. THE ARE A LONG SHOT!! too many years away from being anything good if at all possible

AVOID!

Now we are cooking with gas. Thanks for the info. Someone with knowledge do it for the b teams. Trying to figure out what to do with my son. He's a goalie, played onbsame team the last 2 years. decent offense, bad defense. Doesn't really play town other than pal as its a mess/political. Hard to be objective sometimes as its stressful watching. I feel like he has the talent for it but it's always odd man breakaway or shooting point blank for the last 2 years. Do I stay where I am or leave? If leave where do we go? Not sure if he would start on better level team but I don't want him to be frustrated all the time. Any helpful input appreciated.

NO. I would only have a child play on a grade that KC is coaching, otherwise it's useless. High School coaches don't play politics when they are trying to save their job. They need the best player regardless of their club team.

They will go to where coaching is best, wherever that is. And that might not be igloo.

S2S is no more Manhasset than Igloo. When Team 32 split up, one of the 32 Coaches went to Igloo with 8 or so players. The other 2 coaches took the balance of the 32 kids and formed S@S. S2S is going to trim away some of those Manhasset 32 kids and are actively recruiting kids, including Igloo kids. There were several very unhappy Igloo parents, who are facing yet another coaching change

I just don't see how anyone would take these opinions seriously from an anonymous poster. This critique is based on rumors and hearsay and not facts. If your son is good enough to compete with the best teams call the club directors to get the facts.

Correct. It's about solid consistent coaching. That's how players get better and teams win. Proven formula.

JC and his inability to win?lol. Now I know you are a fool! Adelphi does nothing but Win! How many of the teams that you mentioned have a college coach coaching other than TRue Blue and the Bandits? TB tied S2S and beat the outlaws this year. Unfortunately a few teams entered the NLF and avoided playing a lot of teams. Many players on TB have been recruited by the Big teams but believe in JC. Just look at his TB 2017 team and all the prestigious college commitments he has gotten them. Good luck with all your Daddy coaches and teams that don't have coaches or are changing coaches again! If you want a great college coach and a team that is on their way up then I will see you at tryouts on Saturday! And if he feels that their are enough good kids he will be coaching the B team also! Not giving it to some Daddy like the other clubs

Are you talking about true blue?

Have they come close to beating any of the top teams, which by the way are all All coached by so called "daddy" coaches.

JC is a complete tool. he doesn't help any kids for recruiting. Look how many kids are going to Adelphi. Adelphi will never be successful when he is on the side lines. Plus TB took a beating with Massapequa kids running over to the Blue Fish. All directors are from Massapequa. They will lose more this year.
