For me it's good coaching, competitive team, a lot of practice, and fun.

Anonymous Unregistered A	Parent of a younger child looking for some advise. Should your child wear a travel helmet (one of the top teams for last year) or town helmet to a tryout. Want to go back to last years club but need to take care of him first.

Wear the helmet that will keep your child safe! Sadly, the other travel team helmet will get more looks esecially if the team is a close competitor in talent. The coach may even take you just to hurt the other club.

Anonymous Unregistered A	No one is taking other teams players to hurt them. The better kids will be picked. If your already on that team u do have an advantage. If an Express kid is trying out for 91 that means he didn't play a lot and wants to move. Why would 91 want a non starter ??

I honestly believe at this age that coaches know who they want. Either by direct contact or pre tryout stuff. No surprises. The only suprised ones are the ones that get cut.
