Just having fun watching all u morons think the lacrosse universe revolves around you and your daughters. The Mass Elite team won't shorten it's bench at G8 so might not "win". But ask any major college coach that has seen the 2019 ME team play, and they will tell you 1-12 best team in the country. go ahead dare to ask. You might not like the answer, but at least you will know the truth.

Result from UA today:
New England 2019/20 12-6 over LI
Maybe now the 2019 Mass Elite girls that are a big part of this team will start getting respect? True? What happened?

Why does something have to had happened? You know what happened? They lost. They got beat. Period. Maybe next time they will win, but yesterday they lost.

It looks like the Washington DC Command team and the Baltimore Command team are killing it at the UA All-American tournament. Both teams are mostly made up of Maryland players. They are a collective 8-0, while the collective LI/NJ/Upstate are a combined 4-8.

Baltimore top seed by virtue of lowest goals against and they get bye. Top scoring team, New England, w 66 goals in 4 games gets NJ for second time in tourney. Always tough to beat a team twice. See if NE is really any good. Philly vs. West. Great showing by West so far.

For example, there are no Ridgewood or Summit girls on the NJ UA high school team. Not an excuse just the facts. And there were two Summit and one Ridgewood girls in the UA All-American game last night, and none of them played in the underclass games.

Another LI-er excuse. Guess what...it's the same situation everywhere. In MD, it's the same thing...weaker favorites are picked over better players, some of the better players don't even try out because they have something else to do or they know they won't get picked because some other players coach is the evaluator, etc. So to say that the LI girls aren't doing well because some didn't show up or whatever is weak. My observation is that the MD girls who were picked are better than the LI girls who were picked.

Some tough calls/situations in both directions. Ultimately a toss-up game that happened to go New England's way. Nice tournament by all the girls, safe travels and have a happy 4th. See you on the tournament circuit.

Sorry but it's the same nonsense every year with parents of kids who did not make a team complaining about how their little superstar did not make it so it must be political . The thing is the evaluators and their affiliations have changed multiple times over the years yet it's always the same whining .Get over it , your kid maybe had a bad tryout , it happens .

Yes strange that they couldn't win with commits to UVA (2), BC (2) Maryland, Duke, USC, OSU and Stony B. I would say they had a lot of good players on the team. The issue just might be that other teams have good players too? Imagine.

When you see 1st team all-county (or similar) players getting passed over while players that don't even start for their JV team make it, what other conclusion could a reasonable person arrive at? By the way, my daughter was selected years ago, but we saw other deserving players not make it, while daddy-coach-evaluatpr's kid, who didn't even start on her JV team. made it. That was my daughter's only year to try out. We were all disenfranchised by the whole process. It's a b***s**t, fake, money-grab. Means nothing if you make it, means nothing if you don't.

Great stick check call on NEs part...Team was very good...but take it easy with all the posts cutting on other teams.... Nobody is cutting on other teams (except maybe some Maryland guys before they lost). It was a great stick check. And lets not forget the game was already won once at the end of regulation before the refs decided to after-the-fact inform the 8-meter shooter the clock had been on zero. It was a great game all-around by both teams. Had some strange/crazy situations go for and against both teams. Based on the finals score (16-7 over Philly), it looks like it was the game that decided the winner. Congrats to LI and to all the other girls who made teams. These people on here saying it's a money grab (no fee for tournament just for try-out) are wrong. It is a highly competitive tournament, with many great players from all over the country. The point about the commits is just that. People are trying to say that that the reason LI didn't win is the try-out process is flawed. That's nonsense. It is ok to say that there sometimes are other good teams (as you did) and leave it at that. There doesn't always have to be an excuse.

Interesting how CR doesn't schedule Carro and Hero's in G8... Instead, Hero's drives up to Jersey to play Sky Walkers and MD United. They also get to play Mass Elite for the first time. The G8 does not look the same as it did last year. It's more like the OK16. Next year will it be the *32?

Total bush league, but taught well on LI. That is actually the definition of bush league and really pathetic actually.

She was trying mighty hard. Maybe your girl's "summer sticks" are a joke, but that is not true off the island my cheating friend. Also please explain why the "spring sticks" of LI girls are also necessary to tighten in the huddle during every Mt Sinai game?? Ah the YJ influence. You ain't tryin' if you ain't cheatin'. As far as checking before the game ... kind of goes against what you just tried to say, no? If it takes three seconds to tighten it, surely it takes 3 seconds on the sidelines after a stick check to loosen it, duh. I've got an idea, how about your girls play by the rules? What's so hard about that? And btw, you lost not once, but twice to that team. Here's what you say ... "Great job by a great bunch of girls that I didn't realize were so good. It surprised me, because I only thought there were good players on LI and in Maryland. Great to see other areas developing strong talent. It will be fun to watch our girls compete with them going forward." - Good night

I assume the selection process from other regions was politics-free? You must be one of the chosen ones...defend it to the end as long as your kid benefits.

And every year people come on here trying to defend the political connections. Good for you, you kissed up to the right people, kept contacts with the right people from your college days of playing or just simply have a set and call in those favors. Bottom line is own it. LI did not produce on the girls or boys side. Can anyone guess the common denominator??? POLITICS
Every year its a new moronic conspiracy theory, past tears it was all about club and school affiliations .You have gone in another completely moronic direction of people who have kissed the right butts or have called in political favors. Get over it your kid did not get picked .Again cowards like yourself come onto this site to disparage kids but never actually have any facts. At least let us know the school or club some kid was from that had a lights out try out but got cut.

I said it on the 6th grade thread, and I'll say it here. On the girls side, for the first time I can remember, a L.I. Team didn't reach the finals in school girls because of all the parents and coaches using ther club affiliations to to advance the girls they deem worthy. For any parent to come on here and say that there is no politics involved, is the problem, and are usually the same parents you see screaming on the sideline for their kid to go to goal, and care about nothing but there kids stats. This unfortunately poisons their kid. If instead of coming on here pounding your chest about your kids club, and how your kid is more talented then every other kid, you should be encouraging your daughter to try to make the "weaker" kids stronger, no matter which, if f any club they play for. But because of you parents Long Island girls lacrosse as is slipping into mediocrity, and this age group is a major contributor. Yes the other regions got better, but not because they're better athletes, but because they play better lacrosse, not better me-crosse that we have started playing on the island. I said it before when I was a kid I was proud to play on L.I. Not for some greedy club director. What you people don't get why is if yore kid is really one of the best they need no club to get into school, and if your kid is average then the work it takes to get on a college team is the same no matter what club you play for. Congratulations this age group has started the slide into being the lacrosse footnote

Funny...It's called the Great 8 but Md United is invited. Kind of discredits the whole "Great" part of the name. This should be their last year...they are imploding. troll.

If you are going to complain about a really good tournament, then leave. STEPS and YJs don't want you anyway. Go complain somewhere else.
