Crush never had any hold backs. They have always been age appropriate. There is no way the coaching would allow for "several 2000s". Pathetic with the excuses you people come up with.

Big 4 recognizes that Madlax 2020 is improving. Madlax is one of the 10 seeded teams and there are 12 teams that have to win a playin in order to play a seeded team.

Shows that the people who know lacrosse know a lot more than the dads on this board.
************

Um, no. Madlax isn't "seeded" and has to win an 8:50am game vs. Eclipse.

They took two older kids this year that have reclassified. Fact , they both played 2019 last year! Everyone knows it, you look worse by defending what is a clear lie. Is it really your position that this didn't happen?

"YES. FACT. Huntington kid. [/quot

NOT FACT: Middie does not have a 2000 birthday."

He has been 15 for a number of months. Fact. Common guy, give it up... tool.
[/quote] So 15 year old IS playing against 13 year olds. Sweet!

I don't have a dog in this fight, but am always amazed at the frustration and anxiety this issue causes. To the point, where most will distort the facts. Am I wrong, but aren't most of the 2002's that are rising Freshmen 14 now?

Funny, I only see 6 teams with a bye, and if Madlax loses to Eclipse in first game they're relegated to losers bracket by 9:30 Sat. morning. The 12 teams playing Friday night are 'Friendly' games, and have no bearing on the brackets. But hey, if going 0-4 at Adrenaline before beating the 0-5 Prime Time team is your definition of improving, then yes run with that.....

Wrong, numbnuts. There are 12 teams playing in 6 playin games on Saturday. Those teams have to win their game to make the playoffs. 10 teams don't have to play that extra game, which includes Madlax.

Proof that the people who really know lacrosse have Madlax in the Top 10 in the country.

You are correct, most rising Freshman are already 14, unless their birthday is between today and Nov 30th (in NYS), then they would still be 13yrs old

That team will never disband. they will always remain a mainstay.

What will happen is it will get a bit more difficult as their HS will want them at their games and they will attend more individual showcase style events. On top of that the HS season is a bit more of a grind than you can imagine for a 13year old.

I wouldn't say it is a disbandment but I think they will play a more limited tournament schedule.

That was what the Tenacious Turtles used to say. Difference is all the Turtles would end up committing somewhere. With Crush, there's a huge dropoff after the 5 kids that they care about.

BINGO ! nothing going to happen to that team unfortunately lol they will be visible less but will be strong as ever. College coaches that commit these players want the kids to keep playing and developing

The reason you go to NCAA is to get a great education not so that you go play in the MLL. If you play in the MLL then great for you, but it probably wont happen. If you reclass and you commit to a great school then you could be set for life. Who cares about the lacrosse side of this. Lacrosse is a gateway to go to a top academic school, and get a great job after school.

And because your son couldn't compete with other kids his age you had to resort to cheating to get him there. What a fine parent you are...

News alert. College coaches are just looking for the best kids in each class. They couldn't care less what the age is.

The only people who care are certain parents. Happens in every sport (football, basketball, etc.)

Chill out.

I asked a d1 head assistant wether he cared if a recruit was a year older the his grade peers. His answer was he'd rather have the kid 19-23 as opposed to 18-22.

Sure you did. If my kid is 17 and has one arm and one leg but is a lacrosse phenom they could give a rats [lacrosse] about if he is younger. Keep telling yourself that reclassing is the way to get ahead. In the end - talent wins...

And the older kid will often have more talent...

My son was recruited as a somewhat small 9th grader playing up on a varsity age summer team. All the big schools came after him and he got a lot of money! I say play up, not down and you will get attention!

Awesome, but seems like exception to the rule. Travel teams all flock to the bigger (i.e. older) kids. The difference between many A and B teams is as much size as skill. I am not holding Ty Xanders or Recruiting Rundown out as the be all end all, but any time they do write ups on players one of the first comments is about size. At many of these showacases the coaches make no bones about saying they want the biggest, strongest kids. None of these club teams care about holdbacks either. that is because they all feel they need holdbacks to bebale to hang with their competitors. Edge Ontario, Crabs, etc, are all loaded with older kids, so how else can you hope to beat them? It is not rocket science. Now if you have a kid who isn't physically mature and is age appropriate with some skill it can be very, very frustrating. However, cheating is rampant and actively encouraged by everyone in leadership positions in this game. Sorry, but it is what it is.

Ty Xanders is on the take just like the rest of these folks that live off the early recruiting feeding frenzy. I cannot imagine for one second that any coach worth his salt takes Xanders and his college interns word on any player. It's all about the money with these clowns and the coaches know it.

Why bother listing Crabs? Irrelevant. Essentially a 2019/18 team full of holbacks that can barely beat on age teams. Gig is up for fat crab. Multiple on age teams are more talented.

Pretty much agree with the list, Crush by 6 to 10 goals on any given day Looney's very good and West Coast stars will continue to be very competitive Crabs falling fast

Legacy Taz is a shadow of a team from last year it seems. The parents were screaming like classless a-holes during the Igloo game and really should be embarrassed.
