Smash - United considering to form one top team? Which head coach would take over the new formed team? New name Unitash. It's still a pipe dream That's why it will never happen - other than for the World Series.

It's funny how Express has won 4 championships in the last 5 weekends, without a loss and there is no talk anymore about who is the best! Clearly these kids deserve some love, they have beaten EVERYONE, all of the best teams! They are the team to beat this summer! Summer Championships Express 4 United 2 Smash 0 Igloo 0 Smash and Igloo better start winning if they plan on catching Express. Were those B level championships that United won or did they actually beat the other 3 teams on the list?

Express practices 3x weekly and has 30 kids to choose from to play - they should win all tournaments. 31 kids if you count Baltimore kid watching game and then uniform on 1 hour later. Feel bad for the 20 kids that dont play in close games.

Beachlax "championship" against an fca team that was 2-4 in hoco and missed playoffs. Not exactly a win to pound your chest about. Especially when they beat you 9-2 in full game

Blame their parents who would rather shell out the money to have their kids stand on the sideline. They could easily have their boys play with the B team who had to supplement their roster with a number of 5th graders. Apparently, for the most part the A + B teams practice together, so they would get the same instruction and more playing time. It must be really important to these parents to be able to boast that their kids are on the A team.

Express may have won 4 and they are very talented especially their middies and goalie-HOWEVER they don't play with the same roster week to week....having a guest player from MD for the elite 8 adding players totaling 29 and one week 32 on sideline. Congrats on the wins but win with the roster you have and build it. What parent would pay all that money tuition and travel expenses to see their kid get 2-3 runs in a game... how is that beneficial... all to say you WON. Your kid isn't really happy and not getting better watching from the sidelines! Finally no college coach asks who won the most tournaments in 6th grade...2022 is a great bracket with a ton of lax talent but is your Express kid playing not when the same 3 middies pretty much stay in all game long! Don't lose focus on what is most important your kid loving the game, competing, being challenged and most importantly well coached. Good luck will be an exciting summer season

Thank you for saying what so many parents and coaches are feeling. Express is a VERY talented program with great kids, top coaching and a strong schedule. However, I cannot respect a program that changes rosters from one tourney to the next. What does that teach the kids? Win at any cost, even if you have to bend the rules? Or the kid who shows up to practice, puts the time in and gets bumped for a bruiser (note the different helmets on the Express sideline). My boy plays 2022 and I want him to grow and absorb lessons that extend beyond lacrosse; lessons that are metaphors for life. Juicing a sixth grade line-up against teams that maintain ONE roster all season may rack up the W's but it is not doing the sport, or these kids, any favors in life. I would rather lose with integrity than win with an asterisk, but I seem to be in the minority around here.

NOT TRUE! The few changes to the roster have been inconsequential. They have not effected any outcome to any game. These comments are from a few sour apples looking to explain why their team is not winning. Express continues to develop the entire roster. Tight games shorten the bench. That is a fact of life and the protocol of every coach.

Definitely Not in the minority. Most parents feel the same way. Probably not the parents of he kids who play the entire game, but the ones who's kids have been to every practice and are trying their best and looking for guidance and support, but not getting it.

I agree the roster changes have been inconsequential, but then why make it? The only thing that does is breed descention among those kids and parents of kids who are losing playing time for an add on who isn't even that good. Toxic if u ask me. U have a very good team. Stop messing with it. Have u ever heard the saying if it ain't broke, don't fix it?

Agreed that tight games shorten the bench , but how can you justify a kid that is brought in to play that doesn't practice with the team? The other kids don't get to compete for the time...its just given to a kid that isn't on the team,

im guessing the daddy coaches do t have much say. MC created a toxic situation by not being satisfied with the awesome talent he has. If he didn't add new "talent" each week, there would be no problems. If he was smart, he would put the time in and develop a strong B team like 92 did with United. But that's a lot work.

You realize the LIE 2022 staff is the SA JV staff, I'm sure their on the same page whether MC is there or not it'll be run the same way. I think the "daddy" coaches unfortunately are just becoming the "fall" guys for the disgruntled parents. The problem is the bottom 10 players who want to play on the A team but dont see the field. It's funny because the A and B practice together so these kids wouldn't miss out on practice and would get to play in games in Tournaments. And coincidentally now the B coach is the Kellenberg JV coach, catholic guys always looking out for each other lol

You guys are nuts. MC like 91 and igloo etc. make money by having the top program at all ages and will do anything possible to achieve that, bring in a player or play only your 13 best or merge two teams. In business we call this capitalism, unfortunately in sports it involves kids and parents but really it's nothing more than business. On a separate note if you watch any given game and see 5 kids better than your son then maybe you should focus more on grades than sports for your kid.

Say what you want about other clubs but if you make the team , they will have same kids on team until next year tryout. Express is week to week with players and coaches. That is not a great experience for most, no matter what you say. More kids quit those teams mid season than anyone else out there.

Preparation for future lacrosse life. Blink of an eye and these boys will be in high school. Some playing junior varsity and some playing varsity. 40-plus on the team and playing time could be that much more limited. Do they still have fun, do they still train hard and continue to develop, do they still eagerly await for their opportunity to play in the games? Fast forward, the one's that continue to enjoy the sport, work hard and remain committed, will play on a college team with 60-plus players, and the same things can be said. Stop counting minutes and look at the overall experience and development.
