Not true. My son played on Sal's 2nd grade (now 3rd) Smash team. They practiced in Bayport, Massapequa, and Farmingdale. That's it.

The team that the question was aimed at was Team Shoreham/Bayshore 2021 which held practices out east , Shoreham / calverton which was a landmark to get the point across yes they were held in town of Brookhaven.. Hey its travel no matter where you practice its the sacrifice you take when you sign up for any travel program , thats why its called travel!

The travel part of travel lax has nothing to do with practices ( obviously)... any sane person would want to make a good choice for their 8 yr old when choosing a team and that would include- basing their decisions on where they practice. If you lived in Montauk- would you want to practice in Garden City? If you had a kid in HS- I can see making the commitment to travel further than the norm for a good team- but for a 3rd- 7th grade- nah... too many options with too many good teams. I think the question is very legit. I also think knowing who the coach is ahead of time is important- but really nothing stopping the clubs from switching coaches from the previous year. All the clubs post their 2012 coaches... they are not saying they will definitely be their 2013 coaches. Life happens... this is youth lacrosse... it will not make or break a kid's career- but it could ruin your year if you sit in traffic for 2 hours one way and have a coach that you really do not like very much.

Anyone know the difference between the Stampede teams? Is this a 91 team? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Stampede runs under the umbrella of Team91.....I believe like the Raider teams.......not sure what level of play they are that is a good question, can someone answer that??

There are stampede teams where no navy tems exist. Navy was the c teams last year. So...

For 2020 team, Stampede will be strong B team.
