Plainedge will be knocked of its pedestal today and I hope it's a huge margin. The bad sportsmanship from the coach right down to the players is obnoxious. No reason to beat weak teams by 12+ during regular season to pad stats of brats and ignore bench. Shame on you, can't wait to see the score against GC today, Chappy should crush it.

Lynbrook effectively face guarded and shut down MacArthur, well played. Saw some good lacrosse (Lynbrook very fast and goalie did well) and not so good lacrosse (no transition in MacArthur, middies go to the goal and do not help on defense) heard the coach was new so maybe he needs to learn the game, some good lacrosse players returning next year.

Today will be interesting, lopsided scoring could have these teams on the receiving end. Good luck to all, play clean.

I know many proud parents out there won't want to hear this but......many of the players with large goal numbers are not very good players. So many variables go into the numbers, all they are is a light indication of ability to shoot, and even that is misleading. One player may take 75 shots to score 50 goals, another may take 150 shots to score 50 goals. And were they wise shots?, as in were they not into the goalie's stick? thus a turnover of possession. Were they backed up thus leading to change of possesion? In each case you would have a 50 goal scorer but with drastically different impact to the team. Look at the top LI recruit coming off the island this year (nation this year for that matter), you still think a high goal scoring is the end all? Would you recruit the 100 players in front of her with more goals, before her? Point is the stats are close to meaningless with all the variables of teams, schedules, bad coaching, stat padding etc..... Go watch the games and then tell me who is good.

I'm not defending running up scores, but how is bad sportsmanship during the season yet not bad sportsmanship in the playoffs every game in the playoffs by every team was won by 12+ goals. Unless you were at every game how do you know the size of a teams bench and if they emptied the bench or not or is it OK for the big 3 to do but not the Long Beach, Lynbrook, South Sides and Plainedges of the world. Please don't tell me the playoffs are different.....

All close games with the exception of ESM putting a hurting on EI.
As for the other games, I'll take Rocky Point, Westhampton, Miller Place, and Mattituck.

First result of the day Wantagh 19 Plainedge 5 it was 11-2 at the half.

3 out of 4 ain't bad. West Babylon takes down Westhampton 7-6 in OT. Westhampton was up 6-3 in this game.

So what did we learn in Nassau B
1. Garden City, Manhasset, Wantagh to final 4 ( no surprise )
2. Long Beach, North Shore, South Side, Plainedge and Lynbrook any given day the 4th spot in final 4. They have all played each other over the years both winning and losing to each other. All about the seeding for final spot.
3. Plainedge is not a town.
4. A lot of people don't like a pirate(s).
5. Lynbrook has a big mouth (insert a nickname here)almost as bad as the Pirate.
6. Nobody in Nassau should aloud to play lacrosse unless you live in the "big 3"
7. It's not ok to run up scores in regular season play but ok as soon as playoffs start.
8. Usually one or two big mouths ruin it for a lot of good people.
9. Only YJ coaches should coach high school lacrosse.
10. Parents cheer and are loud when their team is winning and quiet when team is losing ( exclude pirate and Lynbrook loudmouth )
11.Still not sure how many games you are allowed to schedule.

Sorry but have watched those kids for years and her and her daddy think she is the best player on the team because she is. Put them both in an equal try out and the younger one gets selected 9 out of 10 times over the can only use her right hand with no speed.

Lets get back to the games. Odds for which of the big three get the crown? GC Manhasset or Wantagh? Three of the very best in the nation.

Manhasset & Wantagh have to play each other in the semis first. GC plays LB which should be a much less competitive game which GC should win easily. I think it's GC & Manhasset in the final this year. and That game will be a nail biter.
