Any scores from Nassau A today. I beat all the games were blowouts. It's PAL Lacrosse. Kids playing with their local boys. Chillax big daddy. Bet you can't even throw your son the rock properly.

Ouch. Express is supposed to be the best on LI or tied for best with igloo and 91 but goes to Maryland and gets smacked around? Didn't igloo beat all the top Maryland teams a month or so ago? Maybe express can't play in the physical game they play down there. Igloo lost in Tampa to Maryland team in right? Igloo lost to same team last summer in Maryland right? Kids are 12 igloo played in tampa lost in overtime then beat the diamond backs in final by 7 goals Then why are you so obsessed with express Right now there are about 10 2022 teams in the county that could be "the best" depending on how they play in any weekend tournament. Hawks, Bethesda, Madlax, Express, Team NineOne, Diamondbacks and Igloo are definitely on the list and they have all beaten or lost to others on the list throughout the year. I don't see a dominate team. It's a great rivalry to have! Correct and in no order. Express Smash United Igloo Hawks Maryland Stars Diamondbacks Madlax Laxachusetts Cannons Crabs BLC These teams are filled with great players and led by excellant coaching. No reason to be negative or chest thump over a win.

They are 0-2 this spring with losses to FCA and Roughriders(Who beat them 9-2)

Looks like the best teams in the Mid-Atlantic are Hawks and Crabs.... There is no "best team". All these teams have and will beat each other. They are 12. It's pretty rare that you would have one team heads and shoulders better than everyone else in an area with so much talent.

Smash did not do well in MD this fall. All these teams are pretty even. It's a pretty stupid conversation. They're 12.

If you consider DC burbs and Baltimore part of the same region (only separated by 30 minutes and many kids in between travel each way for different clubs like Crabs) it is not even close....and LI would be second.

And... all of these kids are three years away (well, some four.. cough cough) years away from starting high school. So, again. Stupid conversation. Don't count your chickens, folks. Some of these kids won't make the MIAA and IAC varsity teams. A lot can change in a couple of years.

You're delusional if you think that Crabs couldn't compete if the rules were changed . When it was age based Crabs did not dominate in any way. They were just an average good team, just like many others. Once it went grade base Ryan McClernan saw an opening to game the system and he was off and running. The team he coaches, 2020 is comical to look at. I don't know who he thinks he is fooling, the team is loaded with holdbacks. I'm sure you will agree that was not the intent or spirit of grade base lacrosse.

They did not start until U13 back then and their teams were the dominant teams in MD. There were fewer clubs then and most of the top players played for Crabs. If anything, going grade based and starting in 5th grade has made them less successful as their younger teams have not fared as well. This is because at younger ages, kids are still playing for their fathers in a lot of cases. As the kids get older, they usually gravitate to certain clubs to ensure they get looked at by colleges. You keep trying to spin it anyway you want to make yourself feel better, but Crabs is going to be good no matter the rules.

Is it a case of the parents' insecurity? I think so. So then, the club owners should say enough, the schools should say enough. Don't cave to the parents who are doing this to their kids. Because that's what's happening. Do you really think any kid wants to reclass? Imagine what a tool you would feel like repeating 8th grade. Because of sports. Embarrassing. And everyone knows you did it. It's the elephant in the room. And all your accomplishments -- every goal, every time you beat your guy... it's all tainted. Because you're older. mind boggling that someone would put their kid in this position.

I'm sure you will agree that was not the intent or spirit of grade base lacrosse. Then how did 91 Crush beat them so bad in the WSYL? Are you serious? When Crabs had tryouts, the team was built by graduation year. They took the top 23 kids in 7th grade at that point. There were many very good on age 7th graders that were cut from Crabs 2020. This was done with no regard to the kids' age because they play in a grade based league and grade based tournaments. When the WSYL came up, Crabs was asked to participate so they did. There was an age cutoff for the tournament so there were some very good kids on the 2020 team that were ineligible to play. My point is, if Crabs had tryouts for a team with a 5/1 cutoff, a lot of those top 7th graders that were cut would have been on the team. Instead, Crabs went to WSYL without some of the top kids on their team. It's really not that hard to understand. Not sure why the obsession with Crabs.

There is a lot of jealousy/bitterness towards Crabs in Baltimore/DMV--Daddys whining when their kids don't make Crabs and then see their kids lose to them when they are picked up by other clubs.

Do you think for one minute that if HOCO went age based next year Crabs would still play in it? Not a chance. They didn't play in NPYLL two years ago and low and behold it switched to grade based and look who is playing.
Their "dominance" is achieved by on thing - playing older boys against younger boys.

Warriors are Greenwhich and Dragon are from NJ it says right on there site they are coming to this tourney.
Funny people that have no idea what they are talking about are always spouting off misinformation.
We need a site where you know who you are speaking with. It would cut out most of the senseless drivel. And people could actually speak about there thoughts but in an intelligent format.

This tourney is a joke. I could have called 3 teams to play in a round robin and play 2-3 games and pay $60 per game for refereees. $$$$ grab 4 teams per age goup and 7/8 combined...also its a vacation week for Long Island schools..waste of money

Crabs the best club program for boys in the US, that is pure bullsh*t and you know it. The only thing they are best at is gaming the grade base system to field bigger and older teams. Nothing will ever change that program from finding ways to circumvent whatever system is in place, grade or age base. That is just how their leader operates. He is one disgusting individual.

My son plays for the Crabs and I agree that any team that has holdbacks is going to have an advantage whether it's 3 or 13 players on the team. If you truly do not agree with grade based teams you should have the same disgust for all teams with holdbacks not just the Crabs or your point is not valid. I have seen negative statements about a pre-k holdback for academic or learning disability reasons and that must be out of ignorance. When you look at the success of the Crabs teams prior to the transition to grade based teams wouldn't you see that they had the same success or even better prior to 2013? Didn't the 2014 Crabs team that didn't lose more than a game or two in 5 yrs compete as an age based team?
