What a bunch of losers ,stop talking about some 12 year old and how immature she is while you so called mature adults post about it on an anonymous forum. I always think its interesting that you are too cowardly to approach the parents of these kids you are so concerned about and have a discussion. What school district do you people live in that exposing your 7-8th grade daughters to some high school athletes is so traumatizing, if thats the case then maybe its time to move. I must be very fortunate because the athletes in our high school are some of the best role models around and have not heard of one bad incident while I have personally witnessed a lot of great moments of mentoring etc. Please let me know what district you all live in where the teams are essentially filled with adult content so I can skip that away game.

It appears that in some cases the teams are play-off caliber teams and the girls are making very meaningful contributions. I'm sure these are some of the same kids that played varsity in 7th grade.

Besides BBP, most of these teams are weak to very weak. Most teams are C small schools. It is not difficult to get points in alot of the suffolk games. No offense to a bunch of these really bad teams, kids work hard. I give them credit for losing every game by 15 and still keep coming back.

The original post was 7th and 8th graders. Give it a rest, what do these parents want? The kids are getting their names in the paper. We need a new thread, 2020 hs girls lax, so these parents can go wild. Lets talk about who's going to win the counties on this thread.

[quote=Anonymous]Contrary to some popular opinions on this site, there seem to be a number of 7th and 8th graders that are having a very positive impact on their teams. Not in one of the towns. 1 is doing well on defense but the other is clearly over her head. She also alienated herself from her team by calling out another player on IG. Maturity is important and she's not there yet. 7th graders. And, yes, I agree. Kid must have a set of she thinks she's good enough to call out an older girl on the team. Coach should send her back to the MS team. Are you kidding me... Was the girl right? That is the only question.. Who cares the age! Idk if 7 or 12 if a girl needs to be called out then do so... A true born leader of it was even semi warrented It was a bunch of disparaging remarks about the teams captain. Spoiled little brat calling the older girl names and stating that the older girl had no skill using very choice language via social media. Huge distraction and has caused major rifts between other players. Girl should be completely removed but father is football coach and AD won't let that happen. No leader at all, a self entitled attitude.

Actually you are just ignorant , most of the schools mentioned are not C , 3 are in the C division. That said the C division is clearly better and more competitive than the B division and probably better than than the A. Your comment just shows you have no clue .The really bad teams you are talking about are not in the C division.

Ok, how about this question. Besides BBP, does any of the other teams even have a chance of winning their conf? And if you say yes, we can get together and make a few bets. The only 2 clear favorite Cs are BBP and MS. I would take a dozen A and B against the rest of the Cs. So your 8th grader gets a goal in a 18-0 game and your all happy with yourself.

Just curious-what's the point of yellow cards besides playing down a player for 2 minutes? Is that the only penalty? Can a player get multiple yellows a game and keep playing? I attended a game this week and a player had 2, should have had 3, are they ever ejected or are there consequences for future? Thank you.

The player receiving a card must leave the field and enter the penalty area for two minutes (yellow) or four minutes (red) of elapsed playing time, which will carry over to the second half or overtime if necessary. No substitute may take her place. No player on the penalized team must be moved 4m behind.
If a player receives two Yellow Cards they are not allowed to return into the game. If a player receives a Red card they are out for the remainder of the game plus the next contest.
Should a team receive its fourth card (yellow or red) of the game they will play short below the restraining lines for the remainder of that game, including overtime, and an additional player will be removed from the game and enter the penalty area for each subsequent card received. The carded player will serve the entire two or four-minute penalty time. When the penalty time expires, she may return to the game only if she has not been suspended (second yellow card) or ejected (red card) and only if another player leaves the field using normal substitution procedures

Tough loss for WM yesterday. Just in case anyone is interested here are the official rules....Note nothing mentioned in the rule book even close to what the ref used for an explanation. Goal was a goal! Hang in there girls!!
Section 28. At any time during the game, at the official’s discretion, time out may be called to inspect any crosse in use on the field. This does not include the sticks of players standing in the substitution box or on the sideline. The official shall also inspect the pocket of any player’s crosse upon request of the opposing Head coach or any opposing player on the field. The request must include the player’s number. Each team will be allowed two stick check requests per game.
a. Should the crosse meet specifications, the game shall be re-started by the ball being given to the player who was in possession of the ball, or closest to the ball if there was no possession, when time out was called. b. Should the crosse not meet specifications, it shall be removed from the game by the official and placed at the scorer’s table for the remainder of the half. Personnel from the team may come to the table to fix/adjust the stick but the stick may not be removed from that area. Any crosse not meeting specifications may be re-inspected (at half time or before any overtime period) by the official for use in the second half or overtime period. After the removal of a crosse not meeting specifications, the game shall be re-started with a free position to the opponent nearest the ball when play was stopped. If the illegal crosse is an offsetting foul, alternate possession will be awarded. The team requesting the stick check will not lose any of its two allowable requests if the crosse is found to be illegal. c. In the event that a goal was scored with a crosse that does not meet specifications, the goal shall not count, the crosse shall be removed, and play shall be resumed with a free position at the center line. Player positioning for the draw shall apply. Once the game is restarted with the draw, the goal shall stand. d. If after a goal is scored and before the game is restarted with the draw, any player other than the shooter is found to have a crosse not meeting specifications, the goal shall stand, and a free position will be taken at the center by the opposing team.

Obstruction of the Free Space to Goal (shooting space):

One more explanation from US Lacrosse
Obstruction of the Free Space to Goal (shooting space):
NOTE: This call should be made only if the player with the ball has the opportunity to and is looking to shoot. Obstruction of the Free Space to Goal (shooting space): with any part of her body guard the goal outside the goal circle so as to obstruct the free space to goal, between the ball and the goal circle, which denies the attack the opportunity to shoot safely and encourages shooting at a player. The Obstruction of the Free Space to Goal rule is in effect when the ball is within the critical scoring area and above the goal line extended. 1. This positioning applies only if initiated by the defender and not if she is drawn into the free space to goal by an attacking player. 2. This positioning applies to a defender not marking an attack player within a stick’s length. NOTE: This call should be made only if the player with the ball has the opportunity to and is looking to shoot.

Point is attacker has to be attempting to shoot. Too often see it called with just passing ball around. Rules are very clear and easy to understand, not sure why it is so confusing to some officials.

What happened in the WM game Tie goal with 1:00 minute left on clock called off. Player scores, team is congratulating and celebrating with goal scorer. At least 10 seconds tics before ref responds to stick check from Yorktown coach. Player and team are celebrating and goal is called off for an accusation of "touching strings". Watch video on News12. Player never touched strings. Officials never saw that occur.

Nope not the parent of the older girl, I am sure they are sitting back enjoying this as they warned all of the other parents about just this very thing. For this girl to do this it comes from her upbringing, and whatever they want people to think there is something flawed with them. The actions of this girls and the subsequent action of reinstating her to the team has ultimately destroyed the experience for so many on the team. This is a despicable stain. To the coach to tell the team that if anyone speaks of it they are off the team stinks of a cover-up. Why post anonymously? Both parents are teachers in the building and why risk the repercussions of speaking out against them. It's a football town and the family is held to a different standard (and not a higher one). The father of all people being the head football coach should no how much damage actions such as these can do to a team. He should voluntarily remove her if he wants to restore any respect. But it do as I say not as I do when it comes to Him.

Or just tell us the top two teams this year in the B .

Well the twitter world and IG world is quite small. Don't think the rest of LI doesn't' see what is going on from Sayville? It is a bit over the top. Self serving and oh I don't know, crappy. Im probably at least 40 miles away, and know way more about Sayville than what is 3 miles from me.

Huntington is falling apart from injuries!! we have more downed starters and non starters that we should have at a seasons start. FYI to the coaches....... YOU must use your bench or you will have a full on busted team. You must have trust that the team you compiled can get the job done and not rely on ONE girl to score every goal. Its really humiliating at this point.

Trying to look at it from the officiating side No dog in this fight but it seems that the goal was scored and in the post goal celebration the strings on the stick may have been " checked" by the goal scorer. I believe if the opposing team had requested a stick check and then that occurred prior to the refs getting the stick it is the correct call. They really should go to the college rules that the player has to drop their stick after each goal.

Its really humiliating at this point. I assume if they are hurting from so many injuries (like you said) they must be already pretty deep in the bench. If at this point your daughter isn't playing and they are riddled with injuries, I would doubt your daughter is going to get much action as she must be very low on the totem pole. Maybe some of the injured players will get back soon and Huntington will get back on track, although that wont help the playing time for your daughter.
