Kind of funny how people have to make fun of his weight, invent juvenile pejorative names, etc.
His teams break no rules because they are grade based events. My son's teams played the Crabs when youth ball was age based, and they were excellent teams back then as well.
Guess people have to hate when their sons don't win a trophy. So well spoken Crab dad. Does RM break the rules. Technically he doesn't, but...he abuses the true spirit of grade base youth lacrosse, getting players who want to remain with his program to repeat a grade and if they don't they are replaced. Don't even try to deny this, it has been proven many times that this happens in the Crabs program, especially at the 2021 and 2020 grade. This was not the intention of grade base but RM, being the cheat that he is, quickly saw a way to manipulate the system to his advantage. Without holdbacks, his 2020 team would be just average at best. That team has about 10 holdbacks and two double holdbacks. He needs this to win and keep his program in the spotlight so he can get more kids to tryout. This is nothing but a business for him and a way to make money. Go watch him coach, it is a total joke. His lacrosse IQ is very low. Go to the Crabs website and read his lacrosse bio, a total joke again, yet he feels he has a great lacrosse mind. Not in this lifetime will that ever happen. I think the man is a total disgrace to youth lacrosse and am amazed at how he can even show his face at lacrosse events, because he knows everyone in the youth lacrosse world has his number and knows what he is about. A total POS.

Guess people have to hate when their sons don't win a trophy. Nice deflection there. But the old Crabs teams didnt play down?? Crabs had very good teams at the youth level..They had U13AA and U15AA plus their HS teams. No one complained about them cheating or skewing the system for their benefit at the YOUTH level. They were on age. Most people thought they had outstanding youth teams . With having all these kids playing down NOW at YOUTH level. Expect a constant stream of being called out. Playing down even within the rules is a farce. Youth sports is for kids on age. Not for Select kids to get a benefit that others cant get. Age Age Age Spin away with recruiting, playing with buddies , etc..No one buys playing down at youth level except the people involved with having players playing down.

I agree that this holdback/prefirst/reclassify at youth level is not in the spirit of youth athletics. Most of these kids at youth level are private school kids in the Baltimore/DC area. All these schools constantly preach character building, etc. Sorta ironic that the biggest abusers are the so called kids that are constantly taught being a good character in the world. Character doesn't go with getting an advantage that only a select few get, especially when others cant.

Don't know but watching Penn State play Ohio State and nobody in the stands. Amazing how people will buy a mobile home and live in the parking lot for 2 days to watch average college football but so little support for lacrosse.

But it seems Crabs get the most vitriol because they are the most successful. It's youth ball. Not a big deal.

Everybody knows that they have older kids and you look foolish trying to defend that they do not or claiming are just big.One turns 16 this spring and has his learners permit so of course he is big.. the driving comments used to be jokes but now it is real. These kids go to school with other kids and there is no hiding the fact that they are older and held back. Keeping it classy and not naming names on a public forum. Denial makes you look worse. At least teach them to b the man you are not and admit it instead of calling everyone else whiners. Wins are empty for a team like that.

Madlax 2020 beat VLC by one goal and lost to NL and Hawks by 5 and 4 goals. So so far they are 0-2 in the Elite div and 1-0 in AA. Like most on here said they should just play AA and stop crying about being in Elite. Yes by these scores they could compete in the Elite but not win any or many games. But if 2 of the best VLC kids where on Madlax they could of won some Elite games. LOL

Are you telling me that Tomahawks don't have a significant amount of holdbacks? Please, they are also known as a serial holdback team. They may have holdbacks but not anywhere near the extend of Crabs. Crabs is known as the whor*s of holdbacks along with their leader Ryan McClernan, the lead pimp of Crabs. This is the most disgusting youth program on the east coast, perhaps in the US. Everyone involved in youth lacrosse knows about Crabs and McClernan and have no regards for either. A loss to McClernan's team, 2020, is not considered a loss, everyone just looks at it as a 2020 team playing a 2019 Crabs team pretending to be 2020. When you have 10+ holdbacks and two double holdbacks, it becomes a joke in the youth lacrosse world, yet McClernan and the 2020 Crab parents/fans think they are a superior team. McClernan is a disgusting individual and most would love to see him tossed out of youth lacrosse. It couldn't happen soon enough.

Are you telling me that Tomahawks don't have a significant amount of holdbacks? Please, they are also known as a serial holdback team. I think that the point is that Crabs is by far the worst when it comes to holdbacks as has been pointed out here repeatedly. [lacrosse], they replaced a bunch of the kids who played in Denver last year with re-classed 15+ year olds...

NHT may have 3-4 holdbacks..not 13...does make significant difference. And a holdback fogo from Texas to replace their normal fogo....hmmm. Crabs should win 8th grade nationals with amount of effort they put in to load their team..oh wait..there is no 8th grade nationals and no one cares.

Why does everyone then want to play the crabs? It's easy to hate the best:) Totally wrong on two counts, one, not everyone wants to play Crabs and two, they are far from the best. But you are correct on one count, everyone hates Crabs and their corrupt way of abusing the grade base system. Plus it is very easy to hate Crabs, to hate cheaters. Ryan Mc is the biggest POS in youth lacrosse and he knows it but doesn't care because he is after the money and, in his mind, the fame of having a superior 2020 team. His 2020 team should be playing in a 2019 league at best, and if they did they would have their heads handed to them. It is easy to have a 2020 team of 15 and some close to 16 year olds playing against mostly 13 and 14 year olds. The parents and fans are just as pathetic as Ryan Mc himself. A total group of losers. Truth hurts doesn't it Crab dad.

The only reason your team doesn't have more holdbacks is because your team isn't good enough. The holdbacks all want to play for the best. As in Crabs, Looney's or Team 91 Force.
