The YJ lemmings are now making stuff up in their continual effort to dismantle TG and SS. Not a surprise. No offense but TG was dismantled about a year or two ago by the queen bee herself. The club is pretty much a joke at this point unless you want to go to Hofstra or Towson. Is that you West Hampton Ask your wife she would know.

Can anyone on this board please tell us why the YJ lemmings are [lacrosse]-bent on tearing down Hofstra and TG, and by default SS? Their little digs are so transparent it's ridiculous.

Combine that with SS not coaching this team. Double trouble. They will not beat one A team all summer.

There are many people in the LI lax community who cannot stand her or her father. That doesn't answer my question. My question is 'why'. Let's start with the father; her and him basically have the same attitude, the father just talks to way to many people about others in the lax community. He likes to tell people who to avoid, not to train with, who not to trust and so on and so forth. In his mind all these other coaches and people who are involved in the lax community are "stealing" or steering his players away, which blinds him to the truth that players are leaving because they get better instruction elsewhere, and that they are sick of his preferential treatment to select towns and people in the program. This ultimately has led to a depletion of talent as of late. Now she is a little smarter, she doesn't say much and does her talking through him, when it comes to local lacrosse and club affairs. She is also quite condescending and her motivations are purely financial (she has become the person that she tried so hard to disparage when she started her club and slandered CR and others in that program as an excuse to leave and start her own program). Absolutely nothing wrong with starting her own program, but again it was done to capitalize on her on field success and make as much money as possible, with the least amount effort. As time has gone on this has become more and more of the rule, until it is almost laughable how little instruction goes on and almost zero come from her. She shows her face here and there, but that isn't even enough to fulfill promises made to athletes who sign up and expect her to give the majority of the instruction. (with onsite Hofstra clinics she is better because she knows she has to answer to higher ups, if people feel ripped off). As far as other college coaches many cannot stand her, and that is common between top division 1 coaches, but to have your former college coach/mentor say to a recruit that they do not want to hear from their club coach, tells you there is a deeper issue that will TG players in the recruiting process. Girls are seeing this and hearing it from college coaches at an alarming rate. Thus many have left in the 2018 and 2019 classes the last 2 years. You cannot dispute that the quality of schools being committed to after this years graduating class is dropping of significantly. Many of the top girls from the classes of 2014-15-16 are mostly girls who left YJ for TG, thus they had played the majority of their lax for YJ or other clubs, before coming over and getting recruited. In fact the class of 2013 shouldn't even be on their website because many of those girls were being recruited before they even put a TG jersey on.

B team YJ are getting way more attention from college coaches, not saying they are better or worse that TG black, just that the lines of communication over there with college coaches are not clouded and muddied the way they are in TG land. This may not matter to 2020's but in the next two years you will see. Just saying, I told you so.

...and the 2018 team made the finals...listen we all know the YJ organization is the best on LI, no argument here. They have been well established for a long time and a great program. So why are you always on here bashing TG. I assume you are a YJ so you should be happy. If you left TG you obviously made a great move...stop looking in the rear view mirror.

Ok, I get it. But, with so many teams at all of the age groups, the money grabbing comment could be made for CR and YJ as well, right (maybe even more)? Why does she have so many sub-par teams filled with sub-par talent if it isn't just to get more money? And, I've been around a LONG time around LOTS of college coaches. Trust me, there are MANY of them who are "not liked" by others. This is not unique to SS. My gut feeling is that she will be successful at HU.

With the help of 2015 SA...just sayin It is a team sport so you can't say SA won it for them solo, if she could win things by herself, her school team might have been a threat. I will say there was no way they would have ever won the U15 without her.

How can they expect to compete when the majority of the girls are coming from her own program? Isolating the rest of the L.I. Pool of talent doesn't bode well for her program.

Doesn't all of this come full circle? If the program doesn't win enough, girls won't want to be recruited to play at that school. It's not like Hofstra was a big draw to begin with. I feel the same goes for most travel lax programs. Too much competition at well known programs - where some A level players are pushed down to B level, and not enough competition at lower level programs - where some B players play up at A level.

Very true about people not liking CR, she keeps her mouth shut about others and she gets her kids recruited, no conflict of interest for her. Besides YJ there are other options popping up for girls at the TG level including Igloo and L.L.L.I, not to mention they will get much better year round isntuction at the other places,

Here's some numbers: TG class of 2014 - 7 went to HU, all still there. TG class of 2015 - 5 to Hu, 4 still there. 3 from the class of 2016 going to HU. 2 from class of 2017. In the next class (2016) there are 7 recruits, 4 from NY and 3 from MD. In the 2017 class there 7 total - 5 from NY and 2 from MD. Current HU roster is 30 players - 18 from NY, 6 from MD and 1 each from NH, OH, PA, CT, DE and MA. They lose 4 SR's after this season, all from NY. Next season they will again have 18 from NY but the MD total will go up by three to 9. Looking even further out, in the class of 2018 there are nine recruits, 5 from NY and 1 each from FL, MD, PA and NJ. All of this shows me that there is more diversity on the HU team than portrayed (most likely by YJ'ers). The evidence shows that SS is diversifying and adapting. Look at any college wlax team in the hotbed areas and you will see that the majority of the players on the rosters are local.

I have the National Draw 2013 booklet that lists all the teams rosters and in the three 'off seasons' since that time (fall of 2013-15) TG 2018 Black has 9 different girls on the roster and 5 of them left after 2013. They filled in with a couple of girls from purple and the rest came from outside of the org. Is that really that bad? Where TG is hurting is the purple/white teams in each div whereas the YJ second teams in each age are usually pretty good.

Without a doubt more connections coming through the YJ organization. With that said, still a lot of talent on TG Black teams with some commitments at top schools. Can only speak for myself....my daughter was offered spots at top 5 programs, but financially we still couldn't make it happen. Ended up committing to top 20 school that was within our financial fit. There are many reasons people consider schools not just for the program. Don't think it is a significant drop off at all and honestly can't stand when narrow minded individuals make blanket statements only considering a posted list of college commitments.

We were in and now we are out. The program has dropped off significantly. In regards to recruiting, it is night and day since we left. In regards to coaching, it is night and day since we left. No hard feelings, just glad we left. We here the same from all the families that have left as well at all ages. Regardless if they went to YJ or Leg.

We are glad you left. So now do we have to read your nonsense anymore?? Have a great summer. Sorry if my "nonsense" reminds you of the disadvantage your child will be in come recruiting time. obviously you are a West Babylon or West Islip (2nd rate WI players play for TG) lemming. Good luck this season with you Teenage coach and broken promises of "world class coaching". When you are at your daughters first tournament and its total confusion because the coaches haven't seen the girls in like 10 months or for many never met the new girls.

[2nd rate player from west islip? My daughter is a first rate player commuted to a d1 school. But whatever helps you sleep at night. Oh and btw. I never met nor spoke to bs or ss in 3 years that my daughter has played here. Her talent speaks for itself quote=Anonymous]
