So, where were all those college coaches yesterday at the "Showcase" in Farmingdale ? ? ? In Philly! Really? Danowski and coaches from Army and Umass were watching a Garden City game at Farmingdale yesterday Danowski is here for Thanksgiving holiday, he just dropped by.

91 Orange not challenged today. One of the other brackets would have obviously been a better fit. Agreed. FCA, LI Express, HHH, and 3d Atlantic (really national) was a great bracket with all competitive games. Probably could have combined 91 with LI North, Laxachusetts and Edge. 34 clubs was too much.

If you lose 3 competitive games in a showcase event and all your players are able to be seen by coaches who cares about the score. In a real game environment the outcome would have been different. Everybody played equal time. there were a lot of coaches watching the games and they were able to get a good sense as to how these boys played against top level talent. Much better then going 3-0 against weak teams.

Team wise it doesn't matter anymore it's all about how your own kid did. Did he show anything or not. These coaches can tell who the athletes are , which ones are the lacrosse players, which ones can handle themselves one on one or needs other players to help them shine. It's not their first rodeo. You can be on the worse team or the best team it doesn't matter . The question is did your son show something that would warrant another look or peak the interest of these coaches. Wins and losses mean nothing at this point.

I have never seen so many kids with bandages and limps in one place. They are all transitioning from fall to winter sports at school and all just played a solid month of showcase lacrosse. I would not use anything that happened yesterday as a proxy for how good or bad a team is.

The 2019 Schrieber team had a lot of adjustments with the very late edition of more than a few players. Some people are happy, some people are pissed but this team as it looks now should be a decent competitive team. Only time will tell!

I am pulling a thread from outlaws onto 2019 Wow........I don't even see any 2019 Legacy teams......quite surprising and quite a tumble!! Legacy Commandos was blown up by one of the new Outlaws parents! Enjoy him! Stop it already, how long do you want to play this game. Why keep it up, many 2019 now 2020 Li lax families know there were other real issues on that team. Stop trying to slander one parent as a scape goat for the demise of that team. How can one parent be responsible for ...a few players announcing they were never coming back ...a few players threatened to be "kicked off" ...the distain numerous parents had for the direction and nepotism on the team. ...a coaching change and the hiring of a new coach/director to babysit the most recent coach/director. ...last minute practice changes ...quality of tournaments ...demise of the Dune Dawgs or the 2021 team If this parent was such a disruptive force why wouldn't the organization get rid of him. Stop it, stop blaming the 1 parent! Tell the truth, the organization did not value that team as it was set up. It was evident to many of the parents (customers)and they wizen up and took their business else where.

Parents were not buying into playing as 2020's, bringing new players over, etc. Great players were already brought over and instead of taking care if them, playing time was not given. Listen people, call a spade a spade. Organization or new director took care of himself and his son. Ask 2020 Team Taz how happy they are. New Director 2015/2016 was brought in to babysit. That is the story. Like it or not.

the tryout process although cold had some good competition - if you have the $$ and time it is a good experience. If you make it to the 2nd round, games are really good. Are politics involved, maybe who knows, if you go in with a who cares attitude your son will get something out of it. Hard play by many top players. if you go to Richmond kids loved it as an experience with the other LI boys bonding as a team. gets your kids coached by some good coaches and they can make a friend from their.
if you are not on a top 5 team in the country, could be your first exposure to college coaches on a first hand basis.
