Do yoy mean bigger, faster and MUCH MUCH OLDER, you know the kind of kid who graduates college when they ARE 25. The hold back issue has been beat to death 1000 times over, but if you hold back for lax you are a looser period, and stop with the academic and maturity stuff people do it for lax.

Lax isn't the only sport things like this happen. many people want lax to follow what hockey does age wise. Look at many of your D-1 hockey programs they are loaded with older players. After high school, many D-1 hockey players play 2 years in a junior B program before going onto college. Making them 20 when they enter college.

Irrelevant. The difference between 20 and 22 is minimal, if anything, compared to the difference between 13 and 15.

In hockey, you can't be a hold back and play with younger players. In tier I (the top level), it's all birth year regardless what grade you're in. Once you hit juniors, some kids are 16 and others are 20, but the 16 year olds are generally stars and are playing up to get better competition. Plus, everyone knows your birthdate. No one is fooling anyone.

Very different from lacrosse.

Ok Turtle lover. Turtles were unable to be successful playing up in 8th grade. They also didn't beat teams by the same margin. Watched them play many times. They are a skilled bunch who found a way to win in many close games. They were also beat down last summer playing their own age group. Half the Turtle team not committed and only a handful committed to top schoolsc. They are/were a very good and successful team, but no better than Crush.

Turtles played up in 8th grade very successfully and played same grade in 9th because that's where the coaches were recruiting. Regardless all boys committed to DI and that's the litmus test for the crush.

All boys on Turtles not D1. And they lost early on in US lacrosse u15 games. The only reason why some Crush boys don't get recruited will be because JS favors some over others. All the boys are great players but some will continue to get a free pass even as their dominance slips.

Why did Crush play on age at yale, even having a little trouble with Tomahawks? While all the better teams are down in MD? Afraid of the Looneys and Crabs maybe? It's a comming!!

I think it's a more practical reason. 91 Wolfpack (2023) was playing at Yale. J Spallina coaches that too and so was probably convenient to have Crush also be there and play as well.

I don't think the kids pay big money for JS convenience! Waste 9f time, although they were exposed as somewhat weak in the last game. Guess they didn’t expect that.

I do think that is why they were there. Though, correct that Crush only beat NH Tomahawks 6-3. Pretty tight.

All DI, not even debatable. Who gives a crap about U-15 or any other youth title. It's about getting recruited, period. When the top Crush kids get recruited let's see if they stick together like the Turtles did until EVERYONE is recruited. After that who cares what they do.

There are Turtles that got kicked to the curve and never were recruited. That being said, Crush daddy coaches, 4-5 to be conservative, have only their own sons interests in mind.

Having seen both the Turtles and Crush at this age, this debate is laughable. Turtles were far superior skill wise and athletically at this age.

Not even close.

Having seen both as well I agree with it being laughable but think with the evolution of the game Crush is far superior.

What "evolution of the game"? The timelines may have changed significantly, but the game itself really hasn't.

Crush played age in Yale because there was no others division to play in there. All the games were 30 minute running time games... Crush won big against the first three
(They won by 15+) and the last game they won 9-3.
1) The games were only 30 minutes, the score could've easily been higher
2) If you did your "research" you would know they played up last week in Maryland
3) It's Fall Ball

8-3. I was there. Saw it. Crush played sloppy, the score could've been a lot higher. Tomahawks however, were a very skilled team with big athletes. I think they can give Looneys, Crabs, etc a run for their money.

What was up with the scores- all were off. Did they just stop keeping track after a bit? Heard Tomahawks looked really good though. Nice to add another great team to the mix.

Besides Crush, who are the top 2020 Long Island teams and when/where did they play the top three Maryland teams to support this statement?

1. Crush could have played up in the 9th grade division, but instead played teams that were weak in 2020 dovision, while all the top 2020 teams are playing this weekend in MD
2. When Crush played up last weekend, they played weak 2019 on Saturday, and we're beat by one of them. The better 2019 teams played that tournament on Sunday.
3.The last game was 7-3. Crush could have lost that one.
4 Fall, spring, summer, everything counts!

Watched the Crush team this weekend, enjoyed watching them. Very skilled players. My question is that they are 8th graders? There are some Hugh kids on that team, 6 footers easy. Don't get me wrong there were a few kids that looked like they were 8th graders but a few of them were big. Thank goodness my kid is a year younger, would not put my kid on the same field as those kids.

That's because Crush now has several holdbacks. Ironically they continue to call out other teams for doing the same thing. Strange?

Actually the highest bracket was 2020 yesterday. The HS teams play today. Many 2019 teams don't want to play against. 2020 teams. This is a recruiting tourney for the older kids and they prefer to play their peers or older kids.

What teams did your kid play against? Have you played the team they lost to? Until you do, mighty confident that they are a weak team. When you play them, get back to us.

The score was 8-3. I guess any team could lose any game- is that your point?Yes everything counts, but in the end- the kids with the best grades and skills are the winners. They will go the farthest. I don't think anyone will really care about a Fall Sat 2020 tourney in 8th gr- do you?!?! If you do, please tell us about your kids team, rather than criticizing others. Do tell...

Exactly! They should have played today! Since when are they concerned about who other teams want to play. Or is the schedule revolving around what is convenient for the coach? Either way, just doesn't look like Crush is challenging themselves too much this fall.

When8-3 wins are criticized it actually shows your respect for them, so think out your approach more looneys beat Freedom 7-6 last weekend we all know what happened to the crabs once 91 was focused on them. As far as Terp classic almost EVERY team that was there Saturday was there Sunday minus Crush and 91 19's exchanging spots . And all the top 2020 teams are in Maryland minus Crush and express 91 Maryland, FCA and sons you my friend are mistaken . It's a real 2020 when CRUSH and express are there otherwise it's the consolation cup

Where were they last week- they could have, should have played against 2019 teams if they are SOOOOO good. Heck- they should have played on Sunday if that is where they belong. I do not see them there either. Hmmm...

Funny how people comment on something they know nothing about, either they don't care to know or just make something up (lie) to try and make a point. Crush has 2 hold backs who are on the smaller side with 1 of the 2 being a defenseman who is a complete non factor and shouldn't be on the team.
