Talking trash about a tournament with B teams for 2024. Isn't that 4th grade? Sweet Jesus, I feel gross just being a lacrosse parent now. Settle down drama queen - it isn't just a 2024 tournament, older teams play there also

How did VLC (at various grades) do at McDonogh? Curios to see if partnership with Crabs is elevating the team. I wish they would simply post the scores on the website!

Crabs taking over VLC wasn't about elevating the club, it was about King Crab making more $$$. His tournaments are getting bigger and more diluted but he is making more money. It's all about the bottom line

It's all about the bottom line Settle down, anti-Crabs guy. VLC got a huge boost by their purchase the Crabs. More bids to recruiting events, better tournaments, higher visibility, more recruiting success, etc. Compared to 3d, Madlax and other lax clubs who are simply buying clubs to get more fees, the Crabs are very pedestrian and conservative.

Out of Baltimore (St. Paul's). 2020 is average, 2021 is one of the best teams in Maryland and entire East Coast.

I would put Koopers ahead of Crabs 2021 since Koopers beat them a few times last years. Crabs also lost to Rough Riders which Koopers destroyed. GT is best then Hawks, Bethesda, Koopers then Crabs.

One crappy tournament you are correct the ones at Polo grounds. But Madlax always plays 4 tournaments or more and the other tournaments are always the best of the best for the top teams. This is a fact. I agree the Polo Grounds tournaments suck but the other 3 are always top of the top.

no championship for league, but Bethesda 2021 was only undefeated team and played everyone. Was essentially mid to lower level 2020 teams - so no much comp for Bethesda

2021 Year Group has several high quality Maryland Squads. Seems on any given day - they can all beat eachother:
Bethesda, Hawks, Crabs, GT, Koopers
Last Year - Roughriders had couple good wins - so will be interesting to see if they are in mix with these 5 this year.
Rest of Year Group Teams are big drop off from these.

Agree - too bad most of these 5 teams that keep getting mentioned as top tier in MD - will not look the same - when birth certificates are required for WSYL Qualifier. Even May 1st 2002 cutoff is going to make a few of the top players ineligible - as it should be.

Based on the Rosters with Dates of Birth that were released last week for Mcdonough tourney - at least 3 from Crabs and 2 from Hawks. As luck would have it - Crabs most dominant player - who is aged for 9th grade - yes 2019. I could go on, but will stop there.
