PAL is quickly becoming a thing of the past. the PAL does nothing for there communities anymore I hear more and more stories of no support, here is a dozen balls and a chest protector good luck and o yea paint your own lines on your practice field and we will reimburse you. Complete joke. Not to mention where does all the MONEY go to they have been collecting for past 30 years. Play for your town absolutely if you have a coach that wants to do some town tour us because PAL wants no part of that either.

everybody talks about burning your kid out, maybe thats the 2 months to take a break and pick it up again in june for spring/summer - kids that play all fall, practise inside in winter , then spring , then summer, when do u get a break- seems counter intuitive, but if your looking for quality over quantity- why not

3rd and 4th grade team from LI, TriState, Maryland and Texas if they make the trip. It will be interesting to see how they play, them being from out of state and all. Might complicate things since they've probably never played together before.

Actually it happens all the time and it happened. Clearly happened! They did have older kids jump in and play the championship. And for the idiots who say taping a game makes people a tool. Maybe you are just poor and can't pay the $75 it cost to have a game filmed... So I can enjoy the game and catch it on film. But post photos on Facebook all day and talk [lacrosse] in forums... Longboards is a young team who has an entire pal team on it. They earn their victories fair and square

The owner of the long boards has twins that play on taz, so two of the taz players you complain about have been playing on the long boards from day one and taz for 4 weeks now. The other two are their friends and play on more than one team. All young kids playing in their age group. People just justifying the [lacrosse] whooping the longboards put on your teams while the roster was filled with kids of all talent levels

Every kid played and the two taz superstars you guys are stuck on are the longboards owners kids and the third is his next door neighbor who used to play on 91. Should his kids not play for there own team? And ps- watch a tape before you comment. Clearly older kids from other teams joined the roster to beat the longboards.

Believe what you want but the coaches mixed up players the whole game. The score doesn't matter because they knew they would win. It was a weak tournament for that bracket. Good practice for them though.

Interesting discussion Taz vs. Express. 13-1 was Taz all over Express early with disciplined play, familiarity with each other and Express first tournament ever. Not just first tournament. Until they beat Outlaws first game, they never had a scrimmage let alone game. I watched second games closely as well. Outlaws were much better against Express and Express much better against Taz(tied at halftime). Take nothing away from Taz-good players, well coached and together for some time. It's early, actually it's fall!! Let's see these teams in spring/summer when coaches have had a chance to coach these other teams, that have barely played together. The talent levels are not dissimilar at the top.

PAL is an important part of the growth for early Laxers. If good enough to play for Club(play not just pay), then playing with your PAL schoolmates and being a leader is valuable experience. It can help create friendships and reputations locally, that are important for a child. My son's club coach last year specifically mentioned that PAL games should be played, as most Club tournaments are after PAL season. I thought that was great approach and left the decision to player/parent without undue pressure to vacate PAL team. JMO

Yes - 2 years vs. a few weeks is a big difference when you are 9 years old.

Yes - 2 years vs. a few weeks is a big difference when you are 9 years old. Well then your boys have some catching up to do, better get them to practice. You are running out of excuses. Express has had teams as long as the other organizations but was poor two years ago. Not much better last year and still a wide gap to being discussed as somewhat of a good team this year. Right now Express certainly does not have the reported two A teams, the record says two B teams. Better get the boys to work!

Express 2024 O'Reilly played well in the games I saw. I'm told that team is on their second year and it showed. In the final it seemed like neither team could penetrate the other's defense effectively but O'Reilly's team shared and moved the ball well up close and the '91 combo team wasn't able to get in close. Unusual to see a game with a final score of 4-2.

Moving up will expose the gap. I'm sure that they don't want to be on the receiving end of one or more of those 12-2 beat downs.

Since when do you combine game scores? Once express A figured it out, they lost by 3 in the second game and were ahead for a lot of the game..plus it was the first game they ever played together. How long has taz been playing together?

so according to you, Taz is the only other "A" team around? Personally they are all very close with WP way ahead and Taz behind them. Other than those two, all the other teams are in the same class. So Taz could continue to win in this bracket, or move up to 2023 B. If they stay, they should win with some class though. Express upgraded with both teams, and Igloo still looks like a good team. 91 Combo looked well run with some very sound players. Again, if Taz is not getting any competition, move up to 2023B, and the rest of the 2024 is wide open.

Pretty sure 91 Combo is the new Avengers, who didn't have enough kids to field a team on their own so they had to pull from other 91 programs. They had half a dozen kids from 91 Texas up just to fill out the roster. Those Texas kids were great athletes and really good lacrosse players.
