Blackwolf, VLC and Madlax's top teams only practice in the fall - no games. Kids are better served practicing instead of playing games with zero practicing.

I would of thought the games only model was better but if you have new players in the fall practice is a way better option. But I think I would make it a longer practice 2 hours or more.

Actually we (VLC) practice weekly in the fall, play a few scrimmages, and obviously a couple of tourneys. I think it is a good mix to be honest.

Not saying it is the right way to go, but in the younger age groups - non-HS - both the Bethesda and Next Level teams are both doing a single full practice and a Sunday game each week.

I see that Club Blue and Next Level's 8th grade teams are playing the HS JV league, any word on how they are doing against high schoolers?

You mean 2-hour practice and one-hour game? My kids tried that and it was too much. 90 minutes + 45 minutes would probably work.

No they are not - Bethesda 2021 beat them - with just 13 kids showing up. Bethesda 2021 is clearly the top team in NL League in 2020 Division - playing up.
Game was 9-7 with Cavalier scoring 3 goals in last couple minutes to make it respectable. Cavalier is an average 8th Grade squad - likely a B Team in NPYLL.

Next Level 2020 is VERY good - beating up on the High School Teams they are playing - mostly JV squads, but older for sure. Beat Gonzaga JV 13-2.

If NL 2020 played Gonzaga's real JV team, they would lose by 15 goals. NL 2020 is a decent team, but don't get carried away.

It was the Gonzaga 2019 freshman team, and the NL 2020's demolished them. My son's team played right after two weekends ago and we know boys on both of those teams. NL 2020 nasty, nasty. From what I know of the boys, they must have pooled a team together from NL, Bethesda and Club Blue to make that team.

There is no chance at all that pooling a team together from Next Level, Club Blue, and Bethesda is going to make a 2020 "super team". None of those 3 teams are superstar 2020 teams.

Well this NL 2020 team will have a test this weekend coming up they play the Madlax 2019VA team which has won every game by 4 or more goals this year in this league. They have a light roster which most teams do in this league so its really hard to tell how good a team is if they are missing 30% of there team at a game. But I have seen this NL 2020 team play and they do play well and seem to be able to score.

Madlax VA 2019? That is the Madlax B Team - right? A Strong 2019 B Team should be able to beat a strong 2020 Team, but lets see what happens. Any Madlax Team not called Capital is pretty pathetic - at 2020 and below, but 2019 - ie High School may be different.

No - Team is different. Combo of NL and Bethesda 2020. Who lost 13-4 to Hawks and 15-1 to Crabs. Somehow I don't see how combing those two teams would change much.

Looney's - holdbacks
FCA - holdbacks
91 MD - holdbacks
Mesa - holdbacks
And you can keep embarrassing yourself by calling Crabs tainted. They aren't breaking any rules and their kids get D1 offers. And they also beat your team easily on the field.
LOL.

LOL. Don't know the details of holdbacks on those other teams so share them if you have them but we all know that Crabs have set the standard. How many of the 2019 kids will be called down for Beach Lax this year? "No rules were broken" - the Crabs motto. Proud to call them tainted at each and every opportunity.
