Most parents of top tier travel players are taught by the parents ahead of them that they must be waving their children's pom poms from a very young age in order to keep up. Starts with tracking down the AD's in 7th and 8th grade then goes to social media tweets retweets and posts and then taking leadership of the self serving booster clubs. All of this is nothing new
Not just parents of top tier travel players. Parents of the B level kids go crazy, probably more than the top tier, kissing [lacrosse], posting stuff on FB and other media, to make their kids look better than they are. Some are like full blown marketing campaigns, trying to make a B player look like an A. It's crazy!
