Girls Section VIII finals will all take place at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium; Section XI finals will all be played at Dowling Sports Complex. At Dowling, there will be a $6.00 admission charge - usually Hofstra has a similar event fee of about $8.00 but BOTC Industries has not yet received confirmation on that pricing.

Looks like a slam-dunk for all the number one seeds and North Shore (who catches a break thanks to Locust Valley) ... with the exception of the Mount Sinai vs. BBP match where Bayport is looking upset minded.

Long Island champions figure to be all Nassau with Farmingdale (A) and Garden City (B).

Northport is done Gilroy out for championship game!!

Injured her ankle in the US/Canada U-19 exhibition at Ward Melville High School this weekend. Turns out to be sprained as opposed to broken - on crutches. Major blow for Northport High School and Yellow Jackets in the upcoming weeks - should be fine by the time August rolls around for college if not sooner.

Lacrosse is starting to look like year-round soccer! Between high school varsity games/practices six days per week, outside club teams during the Spring season and these types of showcases, the likelihood of injury just increases.

Any predictions for tonight's Nassau games?

Farmingdale 16-8.

Final Score : Garden City 15, Manhasset 10 - Garden City opened an eight goal lead early in the match (9-1) and coasted home from there.

Section VIII Class A Final : Farmingdale 17, Massapequa 10

The sixth consecutive Nassau Class A crown for the Dalers. They will face the winner of the Section XI Class A final scheduled for Thursday.

Interesting that none of the girls games were close in the Nassau finals. (Dalers by 7, Garden City by 5, North Shore by 10). Meanwhile, almost all of the boys games have been nail biters!

Well, the final margin was exactly right - but the Trojans could have won by a dozen if they kept the engines wide open against Manhasset.

Northport spanked Bayshore today 19 - 8 despite dirty bayshore hacker and being down a girl. Way to take it to them Northport! WooHoo!!

Section XI Class C Final : Mount Sinai 8, Bayport-Blue Point 6

The Mustangs take their very first Suffolk title and will play North Shore in the Long Island Championship in Class C at 6:00p.m. Saturday, June 4th at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium.

Physical game that saw Mount Sinai control the scoreboard from the outset. Scored in the opening minute with two goals in ten seconds to open the 5-0 halftime lead. Bayport barely escaped their defensive end in the opening stanza.

Bayport closed the gap to 5-3 in the opening five minutes of the second half and the two teams traded goals from there. The Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms closed the gap to 6-5 with about ten minutes remaining but never got to the tie.

The Long Island Championships, the next round of the NYSPHSAA playoffs, will be held on Saturday, June 4th at Hofstra University's Shuart Stadium.

When you move back down into the C bracket.

It was all just a publicity stunt. She was never hurt! She was just tired of CF getting all the press.

CF is a much better player. She was face guarded the whole game and still scored 4 goals.
The "injured" one had no one on her and only got 2 goals in and about 10 missed shots.

Her driving threw 5 people will never work in D1 lacrosse. Where the defenders are as big as her!
I guess Florida will have to teach her how to play real lacrosse!
