Regarding ESM..She must be real good, gets a lot out of many of the girls on the team...not just the coaches select few (stat padders). She has developed a TEAM with substantial depth..good for her and ESM..

Most of the girls you mentioned are Seniors. Next year will be a reloading year unless some girls really step up their game. No Manhasset girls with all those All Americans and All Long Island team players. What's up?

One exception the Underclass team a player who would have sure made it was injured and did not try out

Great for them, hopefully they don't wash out of the lax program after a year or two like 50% do. Will they be able to maintain their GPA's so that they can be Top Guns and Yellowjackets coaches for their careers?

Why are two Girls from GC on the New England Under Armour Team? I did not GC was considered part of New England.
ELIGIBILITY: Boys and girls who, in July 2015, will have just completed their freshman (grad. year - 2018), sophomore (grad year- 2017) or junior (grad year- 2016) high school season. You must live within the geographic region* for the team you are trying out for and be in good academic standing.

Maybe they tried out for Long Island team and had a bad tryout so did not make team . It's a ridiculous and desperate move by a couple egomaniacs who could not stand that other kids were more deserving . Sets a very bad precedent going forward , watch CR take advantage of this in coming years and have all her YJ kids try out for New England just to stick it to some LI coaches she does not like .

Maybe they are sick of the LI politics? We all are but to think your special and violate the tryout terms is a great lesson to teach your child. You couldn't make here so go somewhere else and ruin another girls chance. Nice way to represent Long Island and your hometown. (Oh I know they own ski houses in New England)

Read the rules and its a clear violation , hopefully comes back to bite them .

And New England I dont agree with LI girls trying out and playing for a different region either..but to each their own.. I imagine it will be a little awkward when they bump into their freinds and club/HS teamates on team LI while wearing New England uni's or maybe its just us parents that care..

That is just absurd that players from LI will be on a New England team. It's one thing to tryout for another region if you could not make the tryouts. However, to tryout for LI - not make it and then go to another region is absurd. UA just lost all credibility in their already tainted tryout process.

What are we teaching our kids - you did not make the LI team, so let's tryout again for another region and hopefully you will make a different team. Lastly, why would a girl who is already committed to college go to another region?

UA has farmed out their tryouts in such a way that they became incredibly political, so it's not like they're all that concerned about who tries out where. It's a money maker, remember. As for why a commit would go, really? Perhaps so she can put UA All-American on her resume. It's a huge coup to make it. How can UA allow kids to tryout in multiple regions? If it was a fair tryout- which we all know will never happen- then it is a huge coup. For now, it is a resume stat that you pay a lot of money to attend.

Did the coaches select a large number of girls who play for their high school or club teams? Who were the evaluators? Were all of the evaluators from the same club? Did the evaluators select a large number of girls from their high school or club teams? Were there any girls who made the team who have no high school or club affiliation with the coaches or evaluators? I watched the final game of the tryouts and the level of play was very high. All of the 40 plus girls on the field could have been selected. I think the process was fair. It is unfortunate that their is only one team from Long Island. Maybe UA will consider two teams in the future, one Nassau and one Suffolk. Sounds like sour grapes to me when you say the process was political, tainted and unfair. Congratulations and good luck to the girls who made the team.

No sour grapes, just truthful. Lots of people have lots of connections and some don't even admit to the fact that they make phone calls!! Sounds like a very defensive response. Lots of back phone calls, attempts or having privates with coaches prior to tryouts, connections between clubs. Sorry your so angry about the truth. Good for your daughter if she made it, but be honest with yourself in that there is a lot of political play with ALL of these tryouts. We all know how the lacrosse world works these days and is very unfortunate. No sour grapes at all just honest! BTW that is the typical response when someone brings the truth to light that my daughter didn't make it....that's all you got I guess.

They want the $$. Sad thing is parents are so obnoxious and callous that they don't even think their daughters are taking spots away from girls who live in the New England region and attend school their year round. Typical LI parent who doesn't stop until they get what they want. Don't want to hear the BS it is what the kid wants, we all know they live vicariously thru their children! Shame on them and shame on UA. Again, not a taineted, political, unfair process???

If the UA rules on eligibility do not restrict the kids to the region where they attend school, then the parents are not violating any rules. Change the rule on eligibility, don't dame the parent/kid who tries out for the event. Similarly, the US Lacrosse organization should change their US "Championships" rules to restrict the number of teams from one club… or stop giving "automatic bids." Let the teams qualify each year from each region. You might see more teams coming to the regionals to qualify.
