This sport does not turn up new blood at random. Players definitely get bigger, stronger, faster over the winter but that is why there is the June determination of who makes the team. Who at Brine is your source????

This one had a few missing kids that definatly deserve to be on it that weren't there in the fall. That's it.

You have anger issues......I said there was some talent there....and there was. Didn't say better the Fall group, best ever or better than your son. Go kick the family dog.

Are those the kids that the people doing the evaluation were calling out by name and not their number?....So they had this to try and fill in spots that wee left open because they did not have enough quality players at the fall one right?

How many total spots are they looking for? How large will this team be? How does it yesterday figure into last Fall? Saw about 6 kids that stood out.

My son made the team in December. When I saw that there was another tryout I called the number on the website and was told that because they moved the date in December because of the weather they were having this tryout for boys that were unable to make the new date . I was told that if you got cut you cant tryout again. It doesnt make sense because how do they know that a boy who was there last night was better than a boy they cut months ago.

I hear you. I feel bad for the kid that might have been better some of the kids that tried out in December but there was only 3 spots left open instead of 4. The case can be made for both ways

Guess someone who has some influence made some phone calls to get his kids from his program on the team wuth this tryout. Who were the evaluators. A lot has to do with who is doing the evaluating.

OK, so I've been through the lax circut before. I have never seen a supposedly elite competition hold a "second" tryout. Big time money grab, and not fair to the kids that got out there when they were supposed too. Ridiculous!

Madlax 2019 beat Li Express, Mesa Fresh and Hawks by 5 each game. I'm a Mesa parent and yes, our game with you got away from us, but the others were MUCH closer than that. Either way, good lacrosse for early spring from all teams.

If you look on the website it does not give a date for the Pride of LI games, does anyone know when they are.

well there are about 70 plus names on the list on the website and you figure they are going to take about 10-15 kids from last Saturday nights session From the original list About 12 attack 27 middies 20 Poles 8 goalies couple fogos If you look at the original group it could have been be 3 good groups of 17. Grabbing 15 more kids may dilute or strengthen the pool but could give kids better runs and better evaluations. Figure 20 per team. per team would break out nice 3/4 attack (Some good lefty's in there to spread around) 9 middies is a lot but coaches dream rotating in 3 good lines 5 poles (4 for a man down and a LSM) Goalies 2 per team (One per half) 1 fogo (each fogo gets assigned to 2 teams if they go 4 teams) Imagine if the group put together could get together for a few more days of friendlies. I am quite sure that would be one heck of a showcase. Have coaches from Express 91 Legacy paired up with coaches and players from Hofstra Duke Stony Brook coach 'em up That would be worth spending some $$ on. Good luck to all involved.

List states: Registered as of March 6th I am not certain but I see a few names, on the registered list, who did not get invited the first time around. I think the Pride of LI list of names may have been taken down. There was a separate list or two with the players who were selected to move forward to play in the Pride of LI. I would think that list will be updated and posted as soon as the players were selected.
