At least you have options pick what B team you want to play for. It depends on where he lives. If east pick the Titens. If he lives more west he should pick Ambush.

None of the ambush Made the greyhounds one made titans Leg is very weak at 2021.their world series team was a product of the so called age requirements One Ambush kid tried out. Just to have a backup plan. He didn't put a lot of effort into it. Fact. Wow. A kid goes to a tryout and does not try. That is more of an embasmement had he tried and not made it. Now we know why Ambush is a B team. Top ten Long Island teams don't have players that don't try all the time. Nice use of a double negative there - way to make everyone read that sentence three times to make sure that they got what you were getting at . . .

If true we will never know because Ambush coach puts them in b tournaments. If the coach does not believe they are an A team capable of playing in A tournaments why should we? I have seen Ambush. All b level players with a great coach. That does not make you an A team and certainatly not better than the current number six team legacy. Ambush has several players who didn't see much playing time in the games that counted. They are no longer playing based on time, but on hard work and ability. The fact is several kids are leaving because they want to see the field, and they didn't this past season. Ambush has a solid first line mid, d and attack, and an awesome goalie. It is the second lines that hurt them at mid and attack. They get that fixed and they are a true A team. Not AA, that is only reserved to Black Ice and Blaze at this point. If Ambush can play Outlaws Select and Express, then they can earn being called an A team.

They were in the B bracket for NLF, and lost, so that does support your theory. But please tell me of these A tournaments that you speak of?

They are mean, range kids who are very hard to beat one on one. I will even say they may be better at stopping the ball than Blaze. Where they come up short is in their stick skills. While solid the Blaze kids are better clearing the ball. The midfielders are solid with one or two being very good ( Blaze wants the best one)but there is a size and strength issue further down the depth chart. It's definitely tough to defend a 16 year old from Maryland. The attack is solid on the first line without having a major dodging threat. The offense is a bit stagnant and lacks imagination. If they pick up a dodging attacks who can feed from x and a couple of physically mature midfielders they could very well make some noise. Will They? That remains to be seen.

In a year or two those smaller weaker kids will mature and it will probably even out. Until then it's the top two Long Island teams and everyone else.

Time to end this. You are not in A tournaments if you have not played these teams or been at the same tournament multiple times on or off Long Island. Laxachusetts Black, NH Tomahawks, True National, Eclipse top team, Mad Dog National, Team Carolina, Crabs, 3d Colorado, Hawks, DC Express, API top team,ADVNC, Mad lax, Sons, FCA, Primetime,Leading Edge, MD Rough riders,, Messa, Resolute, BBL top team,Freedom, LB3, and Seattle stars. I'm sure I am missing some so no disrespect to those I missed. This is off the top of my head. These are all A teams. If you have never seen these teams you are at weaker tournaments. It is hard to avoid these teams if you are going to strong tournaments because they all go to top tournaments and sometimes Lesser B plus tournaments and play a lot. Don't mix up playing these teams B teams either. Who is the Best team Ambush played last year? Who is the best team Ambush was in the same division but did not play? If you played any of these teams top teams what was the score? Your coach is avoiding the tournaments these teams are at for a reason. It is not a coincidence that Ambush ALWAYS Misses tournaments these teams are at. Ambush plays B tournaments. Even if they beat an A team once or twice it does not make them A when they beat true blue By one and lost to other teams listed here that Avalanche was able to beat. Ask your director to get in tournaments these teams are at. Blaze is not at every top tournament so stop with that excuse that ambush can't play against Blaze. If you are playing GC 34 multiple times those are weak tournaments because GC admits they go to weaker tournaments. Until Ambush plays in at least B plus tournaments we can't consider them to be an A or top team.

It's like saying the only good football teams and players in the NFL are those 4 that get to the NFC and AFC championships.

So by definition, they are then an A team.

Ambush never played any of these teams. The point was if you don't always see these teams at most of your tournaments you are not going to A tournaments. You may have played them at one tournament but the rest of the tournaments are b. And yes Ambush lost to the B teams of the organizations mentioned. Not the A. I'm sure the B team felt like the A team to them but they were the B teams.

Ambush defense is better than Blaze defense at stopping the ball? How can you say that? Now we know you Ambush parents have no clue. Your defensemen were cut by everyone in the top six including Blaze. Blaze has a top defense. Wow. Get a reality check. Ambush is a top 5 Long Island team. Period. It's tough being good. Everybody trying to bring us down. #HateUsCauseTheyAintUs. We know who we are. The strength of that team is definitely their defense.

This is getting out of hand. Ambush is a "B" team with B talent. There should be no more discussion about this. Reading these post Ambush parents keep claiming they played organizations top team or have "run with" top teams and we find out that in fact they never played any top organizations A team but only played their B team or played some watered down version of a team and lost or won by one goal. B teams are pumped up by directors and coaches so they stay with the team. Ambush parents want to believe the team is A so much they convinced themselves they in some ways are better than blaze. Ambush defense has never played top teams. Same with offense and goalie. Many players look like superstars against B teams get moved to the A team and fail. No Ambush player can compete with the blaze starters and most of the blaze team. It is bad enough Ambush parents think they are an A team but now saying they are in any way better than blaze shows how little they know. This season play someone and beat someone. After that shut up. You are as annoying here as you are at practice. Everyone is tired of it.

Just curious, where does GC34 state they only play in weak tournaments? Can you direct me there please. Thanks If you look back on the previous thread from the summer they posted they never claim to be an A level team. However, apparently the director doesn't think so either as he pulled his son and is playing for igloo now. Now that he pulled his son, watch everyone run to other clubs.

Also they entered the B bracket at Lax and Fest where the A bracket were all B teams. GC clearly not looking to play any A teams or be in in A tournaments.

Who really cares about any of this nonsense? Be glad that your kids are healthy enough to play lacrosse! They could have some debilitating disease but they don't. Put it into perspective these ate pretty insignificant issues in the big scheme of things!

There is no way an Ambush parent said that the defense is better than the Blaze D. 2 of the best D came down from Blaze because they wanted to play more than they were at Blaze. Most of these posts are from former Ambush parents trying to cause trouble. Enough already. The only way that Ambush should be considered an A team is because they beat the Legacy teams, both A and B. Until they then Beat or play a close game with Outlaws Select, Express and some of the other teams, they are the best B team out there. Blaze is the A, Ambush is the B. End of story.

We want to believe these are not Ambush parents posting but I know a few of the parents and talking to them I hear very similar statements. The way I see it last year is just that. Let's see what happens this coming Fall and Summer. Of course Fall means very little because of football and soccer. From what I'm hearing Express, Igloo, Outlaws and Blaze added some players and all teams had addition by subtraction. Hearing Icon took a step backwards. Legacy stayed the same with no big gains. Who knows what the bigger clubs B teams did with changes. Maybe a couple will jump to A level teams. The point is all these posts are all talk including this one. In a couple of months we will have an idea of what is going on but again Fall ball will not tell us all we need to know. So let's move forward and stop talking about last year. Good luck to all the teams.

We will see what they can do this spring.

This is a weak Garden City year so let's see what happens when they are seniors. But you may be correct. Time will tell. Just curious, where does GC34 state they only play in weak tournaments? I did not write that post but I think the point is if the owner does not think GC 34 is good enough for his kid why should the program be good enough for other Garden City kids.

Whether GC plays in A, B or no tournaments at all I think their program will be just fine. Enjoy your moment in the sun beating them with your club team in elementary school. Just as the past 50 years they'll get the last laugh in HS for the most part with an occasional class B loss to Manhasset or blue moon loss to RVC or Lynbrook. Suck it.

I don't see anyone criticizing Garden City. Calling a b team b is not something to get offended by. It will be interestingly to see what happens starting the 2021 year. Catholic schools have increased class size. This will hurt the lax power house schools as it seems like everyone got into the top schools. Also remember the powerhouse programs of the past may not be as successful in the next few years. In the past the powerhouse schools attracted all the schools top athletes and did not loose athletes to baseball and other sports. Starting around 2021 or 2022 many not known lacrosse schools started attracting the best athletes for lax. Also other schools have increased the budget for for lax and are getting better coaching because they now attract the best athletes. So with many more schools attracting the best athletes and putting money to better coacing the gap is closing. Also the powerhouse schools in the past would have kids playing since third or fourth grade and play mostly schools who most of the kids started in middle school. Now and probably starting the 2021 graduating year everyone is starting in second or third grade. So that 50 years of dominance you speak of is for reasons and advantages that no longer exist. The proof is the Garden City 2019 and older kids can always play with the AA kids or teams. Not the case in 2021 where the best kids from GC form a b team. Everyone is starting to catch up for the above reasons. All this makes sense unless you think just because your kid plays for GC he is the best. We know that can't be true.

HC will win the County and contend for the island. Plenty of GC kids go to private every year, and guess what, they're still going to dismantle your sons high school team and make you look like a D team.
