Is anyone's DD applying for the UA150 event next summer? Has anyone heard back yet? Talk about a waste of $ these days...UA150 is busted. How is it busted? Once CR started focusing on the $$$ and not the product, it went south quickly. Had to pay coaches just to come (which he needed to anyway to coach the teams). And he gets D2 and D3 coaches to fill those voids. Only local coaches, for the most part come, to recruit and when that started to happen, about 7 +/- years ago, talent dropped off big time, tons of B team kids (you basically got in with a note from your mom). Hence BUSTED. You obviously didnt get an invite,,Thats on you

Also, Juniors Open started on the same week. That means you have close to 400 girls playing in an invite only event. There aren't close to 400 elite girls in any class so there will be B and C players in both JO and UA150

First set of UA150 invites went out, talent looks very questionable. Has this event really fallen that far on hard times?

Either way, you're wrong. There were quite a few recognizable names from top 10 teams, and plenty of players who are likely deserving who you don't know. So far as the event goes, it's the first wave of an event that takes place next summer, there's still a ton of time for people to apply and be accepted.

Not sure what you're seeing as there are quite a few BIC attendees from Summer 2024 and invites for 2025 on the first wave. Perhaps your DD wasn't selected and you wouldn't know this!

Not PP, but a BIC attendee and only see a few players from that event. In years past the UA150 invites were done all at once, looks like Robinson has made changes.

UA realizes they are falling off a little bit and tried to get this first wave out to force girls to decide between their event and JO (which is on the exact same days this summer) by having a deadline that was before most JO acceptances were posted. They are also hoping that posting these names would encourage more girls to apply. There are definitely good players on the list but I think the 2027's from last year were not impressed and most did not reapply.

As for PP, I can't imagine many MD families will be going to the BIC event in Florida when there are plenty right around MD/DE. If your daughter wants a better shot of getting in have her sign up for Deemer clinics, that is $ more well spent (strong correlation for girls who pay for his clinics and get invited to BIC) that spending it flying to Florida for a day.

What are the Deemer clinics that are referenced above? Are you implying that BIC is a pay to play event based on attending other paid trainings and events?

Deemer runs small group clinics in the Baltimore area weekly in the fall (happening right now)...if you were to attend these clinics you would see a strong correlation between the girls there and those that are invited to the BIC summer event. Are there many girls invited to BIC that don't pay for these small group clinics? Of course

I have heard they are good. Probably attracts the top talent around the area.

Down the line there is much more too it and it helps!!! My older one was at a lesser known public school and the competition level helped her get to her best game. Wouldnt miss it for my daughter at this age.
