Unless you are playing attack were you need better stick skills any real good athlete can step in and play lacrosse. If you have good feet , good field awareness and have good work ethic to put in extra work on the wall you can pick up lacrosse pretty quick. I had a few friends who did not play until high school and they went on to play college lacrosse. Brendan Looney did not play high school and walked on at Navy. That is rare but can be done.

Agree. It's greedy club coaches who think you need to play club lacrosse in 2nd grade. Lacrosse is not that difficult for a good athlete. Especially defense.

Any surprise teams this summer with the 2022’s after first year of high school under their belt? Practicing every day vs 1 or 2 days a week. Or is it the same old top teams?

A lot of SJC Freshmen played against Gonzaga in WCAC final this year. Will those kids offset loss of two excellent players? Those kids may make big impact on club scene this Summer.

Spalding’s Phipps coaching the UA command team wonder how many Hawks make the team? Shocking! It’s almost as if the line up is pre determined before try outs occur. Unless your coach is connected and “encourages” you to try out, just assume you will not make it and you are just dontating to the events organizers.

The HC is the Koopers coach, The evaluators are all from local well known clubs. Unless you're 6-2 and run a 4.6 forty, you can forget about beating out the "anointed" ones (club team members, friends and family). One or two kids from a public school will be selected to make the process look fair. Everyone else on this team has been pre-selected by the cartel. If the two star freshmen attackmen from the spring go out for this team, look for it to run through the Command Division.

How did the Hawks do at Crabfeast this weekend? Blew everyone out the 1st day in the weakest bracket, then easily knocked out of the playoffs in the 1st game by 3D NE.

Lost "easily" 6-4 with the game at 5-4 deep in the 4th to the eventual champion. How many times did the Hawks cut your kid?

There was a pole from St, Paul's that fit the above description and another big kid from Crabs on attack who played the entire call back game and shockingly neither made the final team. It is what it is, but at the end of the day these boys are still being seen by coaches and the who's who in Baltimore.

Why would they join clubs that can’t even make it to the Championship game? Hawks lost 2 games this summer and it wasn’t to Maryland Clubs. Hater. Lol

Hawks had a head to head scheduled with the 2022 Crabs but lost to NE 3D in the play in game. They didn't even make it to the semis in Crab Feast. Most tournament organizers aren't grouping MD teams together so if you don't advance to the medal rounds you won't play each other.
