Read your post just checked 2023 thread, apparently competition minus one or two teams was a joke, no talent, just saying

The post didn’t mention the strength of competition, just the fact that it doesn’t make sense to state the “gap has closed” when a 2024 team plays a 2023.

NO competition at 2024.

Moved on to 2023.

Competition was good. Jealous 2023 parent doesn't like his kid losing to little 2024, Very embarrassing!

Regardless of the posturing, if you're 1/2 the size of a team one year older, either you're a way undersized team, the older teams are all hold backs, or a combination of both! Which one was/is it??

WP is a great team but looks like other 2024 teams are getting stronger- 2024 Eclipse looked good. Would be surprised if WP makes it a habit of playing up - after all we are not talking Tenacious Turtles here.

WP is a very good team, no doubt, but get a hold of yourself. The competition last weekend was not good. Your only win was to a very weak town team. Even in town tournaments, that team loses 3 games. 2023 Eclipse is a decent Connecticut team, but I don't think they've ever beat a LI team before. The Express North team that you played is a brand new team and it's their B team (newsflash, their A team is mediocre). Kudos for not being embarrassed by all of the 3rd tier 2023 teams, I guess. At least that's something.

Madlax lost 2 games 4 weeks ago, losing record against pack. Sorry clown, those are the facts.

WP has been playing up since the beginning. Nothing new here. Won 2023 championship at Yale last weekend. When did 2024 Eclipse look good? They didn’t look good the last July. WP crushed them.

And they do it old school... NO hold backs. How many more did Madlax pick up this year??

And the return of the jealous haters of the A teams on LI!! Welcome back! We missed you! How did your sons 2024 team do this fall?? Lost every game?!! Wow! It must suck having a kid that bad, huh?? Madlax starting program next fall in LI. More to come this winter. Will be great for sport.

The whole 2024 lacrosse world knows Madlax is stacked with holdbacks. It's the Madlax culture. It wasn't your fault. You guys were grandfathered in. You'll feel much better about yourselves. The person gloating about the WP is probably not even a WP parent. This board is a lot of the same person talking to themselves. I'm surprised by the amount of negative comments on here about WP. Any parents, WP or not, that comes on here and says WP is the best around hasn't been paying attention the last 2-3 years. Yes, they have beaten every team out there, but have also lost to them as well. They are a very good team, that's it. There are at least 5 teams that can beat them on any given day. WP has no hold backs, has never brought a player from out of state to play on their team, hasn't cut a kid in years, (some have just left) and doesn't offer free tuition to 3/4 of their team just to keep them from other organizations. These are some of the biggest complaints on this site.

Nobody goes to that stupid Denver tournament except for 1-2 good teams whose parents desire a trophy and watching their kids on TV. Why make families pay $$$ when there is better competition in the Mid-Atlantic? Why do most LI tournaments suck? Because the quality teams are in the Mid-Atlantic, not LI.

LOL. Wasting your money on airline tickets, hotels just to beat up on some terrible CO teams.

You are lying. EVERY SINGLE DECENT MD TEAM HAS SEVERAL HOLDBACKS. it is the culture there. it’s is common knowledge. It’s also common knowledge that your biggie midi is the marque holdback at this age bracket.

IF ANYONE ON LI IS NOT UP TO DATE ON THIS ISSUE, READ THE 2024 MD THREAD. ALL OF THE MD PARENTS TALKING ABOUT IT. GREAT STUFF! THE WHOLE STATE ARE A BUNCH OF CHEATERS WITH MADLAX LEADING THE PACK.

Is there any value in this competition? Seems like it falls at a good time to extend the summer season and spend more money but is there any good coaching and competition?
