enough with the nonsense being spewed lets talk HS playoffs. Where can the teams in A B C D be found?

Had to circle back to this since you said Especially longwood. Can't see anyway Longwood is in the conversation, their 6 conference wins are against the 6th worst teams, Copiague, Whitman, Floyd, Lindenhurst and Brentwood and NB. Those teams combined have 13 wins total on the season. They'd have to win the last 3 games and pull off a major upset at Northport and even then they just have no quality wins to boost the Power rankings at all. Just my opinion

I feel like this happens to Northport every year

Ever since the incident in Florida, Northport has been on a downward spiral. Say what you want but those girls ruined there team. The girls are probably brats on the field as well which makes it worse.

That does not include yesterday's game results. It has to be updated.

So my daughter tried out for school girls and was cut after lunch. Not a huge surprise as we know there are many talented players at her position on LI. I've got no axe to grind. My question is, who were the evaluators? We have been around the LI Lacrosse scene for a very long time and she said she didn't recognize anyone. Just curious. No hidden agenda here. Thanks

Obviously everyone is not up on the fact that Division 2/3/4 are done by league wins and losses. No more power points. You need .500 to get into playoffs. The order teams are listed are the standings as of now. Any ties will go to the head to head winner.

You obviously have emotional issues and can almost guarantee that you need to have your meds adjusted. Why keep responding to these posts. If you do not feel it looks a little suspicious that 1 kid who happens to have connections to 2 of the evaluators, and number was not called at lunch, was allowed to continue you are not being honest. I actually think that kid is good enough to make one of the teams but there was a kid cut who is one of the best players on Long Island so previous reputation should have little impact. Cannot tell you if politics played a role or not but the evaluators have to live with themselves if they put a kid on who did not deserve it while keeping one that did off.

What town was the kid who actually did get cut from?

My freshmen daughter did not make it either.
Does anyone know if your own high school coach is there as an evaluator, is she allowed to "grade" her own kids? That seems unfair to me. Our coach WAS there. I'm just asking if anyone knows the rules on this.

I think the real answer to the nepotism/ favoritism debate will be answered on the field. Believe it or not there was a time when L.I. girls lacrosse ruled on the field. We would win School Girls , Under Armour, and almost every other event you could think of. Our girls were able to beat everyone out there, including Baltimore Philly Mass. and metro D.C....... But now it seems as though selfishness favoritism, parents and coachines egos have taken over and destroyed our girls. It is no longer can you play, but do you play for Mt. Sinai, or Northport or E.S.M. All the egos and blind alligences to clubs and schools from both the parents and coaches are ruining Girls lacross on OUR island. Now the loud mouthh parents of today will come on and scoff at me and tell me Im a perv or a stalker. but there are plenty of you on this thread tht know exactly what I mean. Face it we made our girls second best to Maryland and Jersey.... just look at the score sheets

This is why I'm looking for a place in New Jersey. I just can't live with the fact that LI may lose a girls lacrosse tournament. It's very upsetting to me.
