What does last weekend have to do with them beating all the MD teams all spring and summer?

it's still summer express last weekend to 2 very good teams.

Also lets not forget that they don't have their "star" player anymore. Unless they pick up someone else to replace him

If you want to include spring they lost to Bethesda and Madlax in one weekend as well.

What are you talking about? Haven't lost anyone.

On Apr. 16, LI Express lost to Madlax and Bethesda.

Play days and scrimmage don't count, Sparky.

But last weekend did.

Why would you count full field turf games with real timers and great refs when you can count all the games on crappy uneven tiny grass field and inconsistent horrible refs.

A game is a game. You can put the asterisks anywhere you want.

Games where the refs hate us and we don't have everyone healthy and are missing guest players don't count either, Sparky.

Yes they have. And it's no knock on any team of 12yr olds to lose to other good teams. Consistency over the entire season is the key though. And Express has been the most consistent 2022 team this year. Up and down the east coast. Did they blow every opponent out? No. Did they withstand some great pressure moments to pull out well earned wins over other top teams. Yes they did.

Sling the "guest player" arrows, but those players never contributed significantly because they were not afforded many minutes to begin with.

Any talk of who's going to win what future tourney is just quotes from jackassville.
That's why they play the games. Stop blaming it on refs, holdbacks, guest players, dirty rotten cheaters. Just let the boys play. Hopefully, we get to see some good lacrosse and the boys have fun and grow.

agreed, a game is a game. parents getting frothy about their son's team's success or lack there of is childish. please go to bed and grow up.

Best part is... I have a hunch all the negative slingers will be at tryouts. White kuckled, tense and yelling go!

Only 3 from MD : 88+3 MD (AA), Diamondbacks (AA), and Rock (A)

Igloo, United, Diamondbacks , and 88+3 MD only teams without loss or tie. Smash loss surprising. Otherwise petty much as expected.

NXT a solid tourney. Rain delay(s) notwithstanding a very good day for youth lacrosse. Will be fun watching this class evolve as the talent is outstanding.

Nxt-fields were great. That's about the only good thing about tournament. 12 minute running time halves. Terrible. Find a better way. Refs were not very good. (Same old story) Not a great tournament.

Back to 22 min halves today. Should be a good day

4 LI teams (United, smash, GC, igloo), 2 philly (mesa, freedom) and 2 md (88+3 md, dbacks) teams in playoffs.

And the Smash excuses begin. fl$ couldn't beat us in a full game . . .

Always great w excuses. All teams had same bad refs and same time in games. They didn't stop the game in the middle , you knew it was 24 minutes when you started.

Correct. Last week, express lost 2 games...excuses. This week smash loses. Excuses. Maybe there is a lesson here. The kids are 12 (most of them). Let them learn how to lose with dignity so they can win with dignity. You don't here the MD teams complain.

I'm sorry. Did I miss where someone posted an excuse? The poster simply said the games were shortened because of rain. Not "they lost because of this or that". Stop hunting for trouble....often times you won't like what you find.

Smash made the playoffs. No excuses needed if they win the 'ship.

Since you have so much time on your hands why don't you go back through the last 179 pages of posts and find one time when Smash posted an excuse. Looking forward to seeing what you find. My guess is you won't find one.

No ship today!! Just lost 8 5 to Diamondbacks . Their parents were rooting against fl$ game before!! Sore losers? .
This team will implode. Parents can't take it. Was bad enough when just United was better!!

Smash still a good team just not the best.

By ability. Absolutely. By behavior of kids and parents. Not the best!
