Anyone know anything about Team 24? Are they good, how are the practices, etc?

they are as good as all the kids that they ask from other travel teams to play

It would be nice if they put the cost up. But does LI need another lacrosse club???????

My opinion, there are never enough lacrosse clubs around. With trends over the last ~10 years, there should be more lacrosse clubs than little league teams on LI.

Problem is, good leadership/coaching for all the clubs on LI is scarce.....even in the top clubs. Spending around $2K may sound like a lot, but if you get strong coaching and noticeable improvement for your son -- it is worth it.

Unfortunately, too many clubs now charge about $2K and offer subpar coaching and don't live up to the promises made at tryout time.

how about coaches? who is your splash page coach?

my problem with all these clubs popping up is the guys who have a good town program trying to sell it out as a club to others in the pursuit of their piece of the pot. what you get is teams with mostly kids from their respective towns and they have an open tryout at 100 bucks a kid with kids from outside their town having little chance to make the team. Not saying that is what they are doing but it happens all the time.

Hope so. 4 Teams would make the weekend even better

They advertise as having 3rd-11th grade teams. Impressive will be if they can find 20 qualified coaches

they will have 2-3 teams max (3rd-5th)

Why is Madlax playing in the U11B division (B!) instead of 2024A? They have a good team? Why play down and kill those teams?

Really? What happened?

Madlax had registered for 2024AA, but since only they and one other team (A. Hawks) had registered for that division Hogan moved them "up" to U11-B division (5th & 6th grade). So technically they were playing up.

5-4 taz. 3rd time in a row. Definitely have their number. Beat igloo is semis 7-1

TAZ squeaked by Team 91 9/1 Maryland 5-4. Good game, and yes a win is a win.

Both teams played great. Unbelievable Lax for 4th grade.

You didn't play up 2024 falls in the U11 division Einstein. Rising 5 th and 6th graders.

Bethesda and Madlax didn't play in it. ONLY respectable MD team competing was 9/1 Maryland, who finished solid 3rd and played TAZ to 5-4 game.

more importantly, cheering each other in games against other states. Visibly.

What about Bethesda and Madlax? Didn't Bethesda beat WP to win NLF? And I think Madlax has beaten Taz 3 or 4 times straight. Guess it is a good thing for LI that the best MD teams weren't even at NXT. It would be awesome if Bethesda, Madlax, Taz, and WP could all play each other this Fall.

NXT Cup in PA. Good to see the LI boys rooting for each other...parents not so sure
