the above players you mentioned are exceptions...there will always be exceptions...the game today is about size, being physical/contact and playing fast (both physically fast and with your decision making/IQ)

the game is not about size and im fortunate enough to have a good sized boy! That is what is great about lacrosse! Kevin Rice, Dylan Donoghue , the list goes on small attackman have taken over the game on college abd pro level other than a few big leftys

Why would anybody drive down to DC to play in a crappy second rate tournament run by a club that is a shadow of it's former self. Shadow? Who does your son play for? I guarantee Madlax had more college commits than your club does. You hate us because you can't be us.

Keep talking [lacrosse]. My club plays in every competitive tournament out their and I never seem to see Madlax 2020 in any of them. Never see them in Crabs Tourney, NLF Tourney, NXT Cup, etc. Either you are afraid to play in competitive tourneys or your director is content putting Madlax teams in his own lme tournaments so that he can double dip

Crush already lost to Crabs, remember Beach Lax? LOL funny how this seems to be forgotten! Did you forget that Crush lost to them at Beach Lax when Crabs brought kids who were playing on the 2019 team down just for the tourney - those same kids were back playing 2019 the following week. 6'2" and 180 pounds - even their HUDL pages are confused on which team they are on but guess now that they officially reclassed they are "okay". The fact that they beat both Crush and Breakers by one goal in OT games at Beach Lax with their holdbacks just goes to show that the holdbacks make the difference for them. Denver clearly showed that when they had to play with on age kids.

Son's Westchester NY team added 6. (3 of whom are 2 years older) Not saying son's team will be competitive at the highest level, just saying some teams are going to look a little different because this is the year kids repeat in the Northeast. (I'll [lacrosse] and moan about this repeat trend on the Complaints forum haha)

Crush already lost to Crabs, remember Beach Lax? LOL funny how this seems to be forgotten! By cheating...."Placement on a grade based team (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025) is dictated by the highest grade of any player on the team." There were 8th Crabs (rostered with the 2019 team) playing against 7th graders. The next week they were back with the 2019's again - pathetic and shameful.

Win at all cost is Crabs motto and give me more money is the motto of the Crabs leader. The entire organization, leaders/coaches and parents are all pathetic. They are a true embarrassment in youth lacrosse.

Oh , yea, they both really care about the kids! [/quote If that makes you happy then believe it. Seems to many people that many of the clubs that formed NLF are making a ton of money. Some hide behind the statement they are a 501-c-3 not for profit. The club itself may fall in that category but when it comes to tournaments etc, all that falls outside the boundaries of the 501 not for profit and the tournaments are cash cows. True the kids get a chance and somewhere to play but look at the cost per player/team. It is not all about the kids and that is the shameful part. But all of this is a sepeerate issue from what Crabs does about the many holdbacks in their group and how they go well beyond the true intent of grade base youth lacrosse. Again, that is also an embarrassment.

If your kid plays for a non NLF team get are behind the 8 ball complete joke statement. 700 division 1 recruits in each class. NLF has 120 kids in each class. And in the 2020 group, outside teams are beating these NLF teams consistently!! Plent of space for other clubs and kids. However, thats what these 6 clubs are telling their families, their kids and kids parents that they want. JOKE. Develop your own back yard. Big fraudulent scam.

However, thats what these 6 clubs are telling their families, their kids and kids parents that they want. JOKE. Develop your own back yard. Big fraudulent scam. Some snippits from HS thread: here are some numbers. There are approximately 100 2019 verbal commitments. I would guess 95% have not played a Varsity game. It looks like every single one of the kids play Club. There are approximately 30 Clubs represented. Sweetlax, Laxachussets, Big 4 HHH, and Edge are leading the pack. Express, Madlax, Crabs, 91 and some others are not far behind, all have multiple commits. There will be another 150 - 200 kids committed after this summer with the majority of kids being from the 30 or so clubs with current commits. About 20 DI Schools have at least one 2019 commit. The usual suspects have as many as 13. I would guess that 15 - 18 of the current Top 20 college programs have at least one freshman committed and just about all of the Top 30 - 40 schools were actively recruiting the class of 2019 this past summer and fall. Like it or not playing on one of the top club teams has advantages. Exposure to more college coaches and playing in the most competitive tournaments are two of the advantages. Even after kids commit college coaches are encouraging their recruits to continue to play with these club because they want them playing against the best competition. You are correct that there are a lot of spots but they are filling up fast at many of the top programs/schools. Remember, there is more than on way to skin a cat. You do not have to play on one of the top club teams in order to be recruited but to diminish or ignore the facts and or benefits/advantages is foolish. To each his own.
