Highlights

Both top seeds in Section XI's Class B and Class C competition navigate their way to the finals.

Kenny Scotland and Danny Infanzon each had two goals and two assists for top-seeded Comsewogue (16-1) in a Suffolk Class B semifinal. Comsewogue plays No. 2 Sayville for the championship on Wednesday at Stony Brook at 8 p.m.

No 1. Shoreham-Wading River was led by Trevor Brosco who had five goals and two assist in a Class C Semifinal game. Shoreham-Wading River will face No. 2 Bayport-Blue Point in the Finals Wednesday, May 30 at Stony Brook.

CHSAA - Thursday, May 24th Results

Class AAA : St. Anthony's over Chaminade, 8-6
Class AA : Kellenberg over Holy Trinity, 11-9

Highlights

The Friars take the Class AAA crown with their defeat of Chaminade, 8-6. Tied 6-6 after three periods, St. Anthony's netted the last two of the match in the final stanza to close the scoring and secure the title.

Joe Rizzotti had three goals and three assist for Kellenberg in a CHSAA AA Final.

The latest report that we have at BOTC is that the Section XI officials who reviewed the video tapes (Tuesday morning) decided that no Ward Melville players would be suspended.

Highlights

Cold Spring Harbor advances to the Long Island Class C Championship match next week.

Syosset pulls off the upset as the number two seed defeated the top seeded Massapequa Chiefs, 14-13. Massapequa seemed to have the match in control until a phenomenal comeback by the Syosset crew which featured a 6-0 run to bring the score to 14-12. This is the Chiefs third straight loss in the Section VIII finals.

The Garden City vs. Wantagh match was postponed until tomorrow, Wednesday, with a 3:30pm faceoff time. Weather (lightning) was a major concern for this third match of the evening.

Well there you have it...fighting in school games is tolerated. Officials now have precedence NOT to issue red cards for fighting or yellow cards for leaving the bench area.
Those rules only apply to others.

why do you have to have suspensions if the team being eliminated is the aggressor? a few years ago the Sayville kid getting suspended, his team won and he was the aggressor. but if a team is losing to an arch rival and they start the fight just to get a kid suspended for retaliating that is no good.

Suffolk Chumps. They'll never get past Nassau. The uglyness begins.

You don't think W.I. can beat Syosset?

WI can win if everything goes their way, like they all get on the bus, the bus doesn't break down, they all don't get injured during warmups and the Syosset fans aren't mean to the WI goalie...if all that happens WI can definitely win the game

WI wins this game by 10 as syosset's defense is the worst I've seen in years, besides their goalie. They don't have one decent one on one defender to stop a WI dodge from behing and team D seems to be optional...

As a Pequa fan the Syosset fans weren't too nice but our goalie imploded and quite frankly lost the game for us. However, we rang up 13 goals and didn't shoot the ball particularly well. The Syosset defense was one of the worst we faced all year and I can't see them stopping West Islip in the LIC. Defense wins Championships, in the Nassau final it was our lack of, in the LIC it will be Syosset's inability to, that decides the game.
