I am not a CSH Parent and I didn't post the above but I don't see anything wrong with seeing where the teams are ranked against each other. Every other sport does it at this age. Tournaments at this age have playoffs and champion. I think it would be fun for the kids to have playoffs and a champion in the A division just like all the other sport do at this age.

The LI soccer leagues (starting in 1st grade), CYO basketball, travel baseball all have standings. This is also the A division and all the teams in it are all very good. Maybe it is a different story with the Division 3 and 4 teams that are more developmental but I don't think there is anything wrong with listing records in the A Division.

It's competitive and the kids enjoy it. I know it doesn't mean anything but I would like to see who would win this league. I think any of the top 5 teams listed up there could win it it all.

Do you keep it as is. Or do you go records and playoffs, etc? I think you could do both. Have an elite division with playoffs and have the other divisions with the rec/dev spirit that PAL is. And let teams choose if they want to enter a playoff division or not. A playoff system would be fun for the kids (and I don't know for the parents...)

This is why PAL exists. To promote healthy competition and growth of character for kids, Maybe the club teams in Long Island should start a league, keep standings, have a championship, etc.

Both of these teams are comprised exclusively of kids that live in their respective towns (in the 2022 age group). They play in both town and travel team tournaments without supplementing their rosters with kids from outside of their towns.
