The officials can pretty much do whatever they would like to do regardless of the rules. Their mantra appears to be that the call that they make depends on the situation. They only thing that ensures is that there is no consistency.



The ref should have stopped play , issued the green card made her leave the field without a replacement, and restarted the game. NU could have sent another player on , or waited for Shannon , there choice.
