Section XI still has HHH as the 1 seed. Even after Northport beat them yesterday.

Conference A is terrible and should not have 4 teams in the "A League". For the most part they are easy wins for the B teams, and 3 B teams not in the A league are better. Luckily the A teams coaches are involved in this process. Good luck to all, be fun to watch the playoffs this year.

Its more than double, isn't it? I'm not looking to bury Hills, but that's getting dominated.

Because of head to head, doesn't Northport get #1 seed? Big difference if you play WM or Huntington in the semi finals.

7-3 isn't non-competitive. You can't just say "more than double."

15-7 is non-competitive because it's 8 goals. 7-3 is only a goal a quarter difference. Sorry to interject some math and common sense here.

According to section XI website it is HHH. I'm sure Northport will have something to say about that tomorrow.

CHSAA AAA

It's a dense comparison, the privates pull from the entire island, can't compare them to town teams.
dense ?? But everyone compares the induvial players ?

Can't compare private to town teams. Privates are recuiting some of the best players, might as well call them a travel team.

Best team right now ----- SouthSide

I was at the game on the Northport side. I thought the game was competitive the entire way until the last 3 minutes. No goals were scored but at that point it seemed like HHH ran out of gas.

They play a weak schedule and lost to the only top team they went against. They would get gut punched by all the teams on that list.

It’s the Cyclone Team Mom again. I think Wantagh has something to say about that.

Power points make a difference. That translates higher than actual record or head to head

Lots of schools lose to Chaminade. And SS not beating GC.

I doubt RVC kids are solely going to Chaminade for lax. It’s a high quality edification. Plus they haven’t won anything since 2018. Lacrosse is a factor, yes, but they go there for more than lacrosse. That is true of every LI Catholic but St Anthonys. St Doms, SJB, Kellenberg, etc. nobody is going with lacrosse first on their mind imho.

The HHH offensive player is the #10 recruit in his class because he has played for a high-level travel team for years. His rank and his recruitment are a reflection of his play on the summer circuit. His HS performance is just the icing on the cake, imo.

They have a strong win against Ward Melville but that's it, the same WM team that got ran off the field by Garden City. I said they have a weak schedule, I didn't call WM a weak team in particular. WM hasn't beat any top teams either.
It is important to note that the two good teams they went against were conference games (they had to play them), their non-conference schedule was extremely weak. They should have challenged themselves with a mixture of Garden City, South Side, Wantagh, East Islip, Bayport, and possibly an out of/up state team. They are definitely a really good team, but they should have played a harder schedule. This is all factual. Suffolk should have played a power-conference.

That’s not unfair. But they scrimmaged Wogue, played Port 2 traditionally good squads. They can’t create a better conference but yes I see your point throw in 1 or 2 powers from somewhere else.

They played every team in Suffolk division 1 except the bottom 5 teams. Who is weak in Suffolk division 1 out of curiosity? I would argue that the top 5 teams in Suffolk would dominate in the Nassau "power conference".

Class A playoffs complete joke Port with 3 wins is 4th seed? Massapequa and Syosset with 8 wins each are 2nd and 3rd seed??? So no incentive to win games during season all will be in playoffs... It definitely adds to the narrative that certain high school teams with parent /club coaches are more incentivized$$$ to start and play freshman over juniors and seniors ...club promotes players as 4 year starters promote on social media players get recruited to top schools and club gets even more players enrolled$$$ wow how corrupt high school lacrosse has become all about the $$$$ now

Chaminade , a very average Chaminade team , beat Manhasset 12-4 today 😳
Could have been worse , SA embarrassed Chaminade last week .
Public School Lacrosse has never been worse on Long Island. If your kid can handle the academics, and has D1 lacrosse aspirations, get out of public schools..D1 Coaches watch SA and Chaminade JV for talent before watching these town teams ! Fact !

The majority of Suffolk division 1 is terrible. The best teams are Northport, Ward Melville, HHH, and Huntington. You could include Connetquot, but they are not great. The competition falls off a cliff after that. HHH just did not challenge themselves out of division, if you disagree with that you are just being ignorant. And for the "would dominate in the Nassau "power conference"" just shows that you have zero credibility. Garden City dominated both WM and Northport. Those games weren't even close, the Northport score made it seem the game was closer than it was. Don't believe me go watch it on varsitymediapass.com. If you're basing your statement off HHH dominating Port Washington, congrats on beating the 3&11 and lowest ranked power conference team. The team who starts mainly freshman. Congrats!

Come back to this post after the quarterfinal games and you'll realize how unintelligent this statement is. Just because a team like Herricks who racked up wins against teams that can barely catch and throw doesn't mean they should be seeded higher than any of those teams. These are the best four teams in A by a mile, and the quarterfinal games won't even be close. You'd just ruin the playoffs if you had Syosset and Port, for example, lined up in the quarterfinals. Also, coaches care about winning and they're going to play the best players. The freshman who play on port are very good and they'll be stars in the near future, if the was the team you were referring to.

What in the world are you even referring to? For starters the whole Conference is a clown show now. Not one of those schools would have made B playoffs. They all would have been double digit loss teams including farmingdale.

Or more like this was due to the creation of the power conference, rewarding teams who played a more competitive schedule.

Okay…point is people are not choosing the smaller Catholics for lacrosse. It’s all about club coaches who coach and recruit kids in from the program.

3 things. SA did not embarrass it was a great game. Chaminade played most of their bench to end most of the game vs Manhasset. In both of those games it was kids that have a lot of respect for each other, and it was great fun to watch. Try to see the positive side. Its over soon.

Disgusting display of sportsmanship at Mhs during first round of playoffs to run the score up 22 to 2. Who does that... Daddy ball coach. What are they teaching the boys. Did the eighth graders from the club team they brought up for the playoffs score so they can say they played varsity lax for 5 years with stats to prove it. I guess lax is all about bringing in money for the club team and use the kids to draw more boys to the program. they should all be fired. The MHS parents should be proud of themselves for not saying something to the AD and school board. Again Disgusting display of restraint, and lack of sportsmanship. Just goes to show you they are classless coaches.

Pequa coaches did a great job getting their players in the game, the backups want to score also. Remember this, Hicksville defensive job is stop Pequa from scoring, so go complain to the Hickville coaching staff AD and school board.

“Daddy coaches” dude stop, your team got smoked. It happens. Don’t like the score? Get better. It’s not the other teams responsibility, try notifying your own AD about the horrible coaching Hicksville has. Worry about your own. Clown

Better than never getting there because your program hasn’t been relevant since the 60’s.

Programs that need new varsity coaches or will stay irrelevant for years to come.
1. Long Beach
2. Pequa
3. Hicksville
4. Lynbrook
5. Baldwin
