That doesn't mean they are moving to the 2022 team. They can continue to play for the 21s in fall and summer, just won't have a 21 team in HOCO obviously.

Rumor that Dukes Nationals is playing in HOCO next spring. Are people leaving their clubs to play for this team considering several of them are from existing HOCO teams?

Hoco has a rule that kids an only be on one team.

"Players may only play for one team in this conference. Any player on more then one roster will result in the forfeiture of all games scheduled for both teams and the removal of the player from the conference. Each coach should check with the player’s parents to ensure that the player is only on one roster."

Exactly. So are the kids that play for API, FCA, 91, etc going to leave API, 91 and FCA to play on this team? If so, what will they do come summer?

Well if they are good enough to play for a National team they will just go back to the club after HOCO. News flash the best players can come and go as they please.

Clubs would let these kids play for Dukes in the spring and then come back for summer? I doubt that. I don't care how good they are.

Dukes will play in 4-5 tournaments during the summer-Dukes will be their team.

I doubt seriously that kids are going to leave their regular clubs for Dukes. Dukes is fine for supplementing your time on the field, but anyone serious about development isn't going to forego twice or thrice weekly practices with a local team to travel to PA or NY for a "combine" every few weeks. Hard to imagine Dukes kids from the Northeast traveling weekly to Howard County for a one hour game as well. If they were going to just branch off and do a MD Dukes team, maybe.

There is no way kids will play exclusively for Dukes. They only practice once a month and not at all in the summer months.

There is something else going on with these kids.

You Hawks parents have a real problem with API for some reason. You beat them easily so why all the hate? Maybe you should be more concerned that the team that ran you off the field at Naptown is going to play in HOCO.

Dback parents were arrogant dicks in 4th and 5th grade. Hawks parents are dicks in 6th and 7th grade. It's what happens when you are on top and all the kids are on the same football and basketball teams.

The competition win or lose is welcomed. Iron sharpens iron. We don't get better playing the #3 team in the world who just rolls over and plays dead against us

Who's we? I assume this must be a player since you were referring to "we" and if so, you wrote this pretty late at night for a 15 year old.

That is funny! Also there is not way a 15 year old would know how to post on a board like this. It is not an Instagram Story, Snapchat, or Face Party. In addition, the 15 year old does not have time at night to post. But the biggest clue it is NOT a Hawks player is that they would be likely 16 or 17 not 15.

Just not that many kids that want to pay $2k to be on a B team. Just as good coaches on sidewinders for 1/4 the cost.

Shouldn't have the Hawks team been in high school next year ...we are so great at lacrosse I can beat kids that I'm 2 years older then .mom and dad be proud of me because I can't play kids my own age I wouldn't be good. The Hawks couldn't win the big one when other teams had equal amount of holdbacks. Choke 10-4

The cost for sidewinders is $1500 plus players have to sell $200 of fundraising cards, hardly a 1/4 of the cost

All Elite 2022 teams have kids that should be going into high school.

You really should be playing rec if you still have a hang up with this fact after 4 years of these rules being in place.

I think most people agree it is an unfair way to run things but to blame one club for doing it as if no other team does just sounds like you are ignorant of how club lacrosse works.

While the guy is a [lacrosse] and uses poor grammar, what exactly isn't true? They do have a bunch of holdbacks and got run off the field by Dukes 10-4.

What exactly are you asking? As their name suggests, they are a national team. Currently made up of kids from MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT. Maybe a couple other places.

The actual number of holdbacks on each team is unknown. But a National all star team did convincingly beat a local team.

I guess the best players go to where the best players play??...?? The Dukes website alumni list is pretty impressive: Tewaaraton winner, Tewaaraton finalists, D1 all-americans, professionals, champions, etc. I have to admit its pretty impressive.
